Plitvicesjöarna är ett absolut måste!

Vår reseguide Sandra var full av energi och gjorde denna resa till en verkligt minnesvärd upplevelse. Hennes stora kunskap om nationalparken och landet förstärkte dagen, liksom hennes smittande humor! Organisationen av turnén var okomplicerad; från bokning online till att få instruktioner från byrån och slutligen möte på dagen. Turnén började i tid, bussen väntade redan och vi kom alla in i nationalparken omgående. Vi tillbringade lite över 4 timmar vid Plitvice, gick på stigarna, njöt av de hisnande vyerna och även en båttur. Självklart fanns det gott om fototillfällen! Sammantaget var detta en fantastisk upplevelse och vi skulle inte tveka att boka igen!

Den här resan var fantastisk även om det var en kall och mulen dag, promenaden hade varit mycket tuff på grund av de isiga hala skogsvägarna, men området är fantastiskt och du kommer att missa mycket om du inte går. Vår guide Klara var till stor hjälp, hon var vaksam på de isiga områdena och hjälpsam som reseledare, tack vare henne kändes det en trevlig resa med fina bilder och filmer på slutet.

Great tour at absolutely stunning park

Great day trip to Plitvices with our guide Sanja! We went in mid-April, and it wasn’t very crowded (though bundle up, temps in the mid to upper 40’s). Lakes and waterfalls are stunning. Split to the park was about 2h45min one way, with a break at a nice rest stop each time. Sanja and her company dealt really well with an unexpected issue with our vehicle, arranging alternate transportation swiftly. We spent around 4 hours at the park, going at a leisurely pace. Only moderate physical exertion needed, though there’s a short 10minute climb at the end. Definitely not stroller friendly, for those with young kiddos. I ended up carrying my 3yo in a backpack carrier. Overall highly recommend!

Must-see national park in your visit list

It wasn't the best day to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park due to the unusually chilly weather and the overnight snow, but it was absolutely worth it. The views of the national park is stunning. You don't want to miss the experience of soaking in the amazing nature of waterfalls and the fantastic views of the Plitvice Lakes. Our tour guide Vice is good at introducing us to the history and culture of Croatia and the regions of Dalmatia and Lika and the national park. He made our day tour more interesting and fun. The driver is experienced and he drove very safely on the very windy highways. We highly recommend this day tour.

A bit of a distance from Split but well worth the visit. Our tour guide was fabulous, very knowledgeable and there if we needed anything. The lakes and waterfalls were spectacular and a must if travelling to Croatia.

Long but beautiful day

Beautiful place even though crowded even in October. Lovro did a good job guiding us around. Directions he gave were clear and he always made sure everyone made it to the meeting point. He told us lots of stories and made people laugh so the long ride wasn't that painful. The ride is LONG so a good guide is a must. Lovro sure delivered .

Worth the trip

An amazing day at Plitvace Lakes. Stunning scenery and worth every minute of travel to get there. Klara was a fantastic guide. Fun, informative and very professional ensuring every one got the best out of the day. I’m surprised Viator advertise this tour as suitable for all ages child to 99years. You require a moderate fitness level for the trail. It was 8.9k and done at a reasonable pace to complete it.

My family enjoyed this tour. Everything was well organized from texts prior to trip, actual trip and post-trip. We had an excellent tour guide, Sandra, who was friendly, kept the tour interesting and was very efficient. She did a great job with keeping the tour on schedule (without rushing) and adjusting itinerary for best use of time.

Bad client service

I don't know what happened but the reservation was made for the 4th september instead of the 4th october 2023. Maybe an error of selection. I don't even know. I contacted Viator to tell them that it was an error and that I would like to have an exchange for the correct date but they answered me that it was too late. I lost more than 100$ CAD for an obvious error. I understand that the company lost maybe 1 entry ticket and 1 bus ticket, but making me losing the whole 100 CAD in low season for that, without even trying to find a solution/talking with me ... is the kind of client service that I don't understand. We need companies more human than this. The tourists are not walking wallets, 100 CAD is a lot of money for everyone and we all work for it, can we be a little more comprehensive and less robotic?

An ideal way to visit the lakes

Klara was a great tour guide. We were very unfortunate with the weather and had storms and heavy rain but she remained in good spirits and kept us all going. The lakes are beautiful, though I’m not sure they’re worth the cost personally but if they’re on the bucket list I’d definitely recommend this tour as the lakes are huge so having a tour guide is advantageous to know which routes to take to get the best out of it. Klara also gave us lots of general recommendations for Split which was lovely. She was very knowledgable about Croatian history too. Overall a good tour.
