Bra kväll i Shilin

Detta var en fantastisk mattur. Vår guide, York var mycket kunnig och rolig att vara med. Han tog är till vissa områden som många turister inte känner till. Han uppmuntrade oss att vara äventyrliga med att vara påträngande. Naturligtvis hjälpte det att maten var mycket bra, även den stinkiga tofu. Jag skulle definitivt rekommendera denna turné och särskilt York som din reseguide.

Night market with a local

We had a really nice evening with Tony at the Shilin night market. This market is really big and can be overwhelming so it was great to go with a local who knows what to try and the best places to try it. We knew of a few things we wanted to try and Tony showed us the best places, and he also suggested some things we never would have tried on our own. We also just enjoyed chatting and learning a little more about life and food in Taiwan. Definitely recommend this tour if you're looking to get the most out of visiting a night market in Taipei!

Great way to spend an evening of great street food and company.

We ate and learned so much during the tour. There were a lot to see at the market and it can get a bit overwhelming and intimidating. We were glad to have Mavis guide us through the market. She shared her knowledge of the area and pointed us to the right spots and stalls for great street food. Mavis is knowledgeable and very easy going, it really felt like we were just hanging out with a good friend. Just make sure you are hungry and bring a little bag for trash for the tour. It was a great tour and we highly recommend it!

We were greeted by JM at Exit1 of JianTan St. The previous day he texted with all info needed & also helped with directions to reach. He walked us through the entire Shilin night Market, gave us local information. We stopped at different outlets to try out their speciality dishes. Stinky Tofu is not a dish I would care for. We tried their oyster omelet, hotstar fried chicken andTaiwanese pudding with taro balls. Over all a great experience. Would definitely recommend it. It takes around 1/1.5 hours

This tour was excellent. My guide was Mavis who was super sweet and fun. She knew all the best spots to eat and shop. I was solo on my trip and thought that the market would be overwhelming alone and I think I was right. Having Mavis with me was perfect. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time with Mavis as our guide. She knew exactly where to get the things we wanted to try and introduced us to some foods we never heard of. The Shilin Market is huge and easy to get a little lost in so it was really nice having someone who knew the way. She was friendly and so knowledgeable. I recommend going at an earlier time since it gets super busy as the night goes.

Late night activity to explorer the Taiwan night market. The tour guide leads you through the market and you order the food that appeals to you. In contrast to other night market tours, on this tour there is no build-in site to see, it is more of a on-a-whim structure.

way over priced for what it is

Tony the guide did a good job, The site however did a poor job explaining the tour was for only one person. I was not familiar with tours in Vietnam and would have never booked a private tour for $63 USD. I subsequently booked two group tours which are much more fun for way less money. Be careful booking tours, look for the fine print and book group tours. $63 US for a 2 hour market tour is way too much. Go with a group or don't be afraid to go yourself, They are not very complicated.

This is a great way to explore the market if you have dietary restrictions. Our guide, Kelly, was very helpful in selecting food and encouraging us to try lots of things! She also helped navigate through the sea of people which can be intimidating and overwhelming. If you do not have restrictions then I am not sure a guide is necessary.

I absolutely loved this tour! Mavis was a sweetheart and educated me on some of the traditional Taiwanese dishes, helped me get some scarfs for my poodle mafia, and found me a great foot spa before we parted ways

Mavis was such an enthusiastic and friendly tour guide! Mavis was punctual and waiting for me at the exit of Jiantan Station (R15) to begin our tour. Stopping by notable vendors/stalls as well as telling me about the history of the area were a delight! What a wonderful way to explore the famous Shilin Night Market for the first time and so worth it! Be ready with cash to enjoy the many delectable delights that is Shilin Night Market.
