The Staff and Captain. The staff (Abbie) was super knowledgeable and accommodating. She had many questions aimed at her and she explained them in a very understandable way. The Captain was amazing !!! Very accommodating when it came to viewing the whales. Friendly.

Excellent experience - we saw 2 humpback whales, dolphins and a huge group of sea otters. James was an excellent guide, and took us through a lot of small inlets, around islands etc, so it was extremely scenic. The small zodiac boat was a lot of fun.

Fantastic trip! We saw hump back whales, sea otter, porpoises, seals and eagles (bald and golden). No orcas sadly though a great trip nonetheless.

We went in a Zodiac rather than the bigger boat, and getting into the red float suits already made this trip special for us and our two grandsons. Our skipper, Andy, was obviously experienced and shared some memories of growing up in Alert Bay as an Indigenous person. For almost an hour we searched in vain for whales in Johnstone Straight but saw only a dolphin and two sea lions, the orcas had all headed elsewhere. Rebecca, a very knowledgeable naturalist, explained their movements and told us about the marine reserve off Malcolm Island, where we headed next. We were rewarded by seeing several hump backs and a special treat- a mother that Rebecca recognized playing with her calf. The scenery was magnificent , we felt safe, and all our questions were answered. A great experience!
