Vi hade en fantastisk resa och hade turen att se några vuxna späckhuggarhonor med två kalvar - en fantastisk upplevelse. Besättningen ombord var vänlig, hjälpsam och kunnig. En bra erfarenhet.

Detta var en hisnande upplevelse. Min grupp och jag reste från Seattle till whale watch för en dag och denna resa var verkligen värt det. Vi var vilse när vi anlände till hamnen så vi ringde på hjälp, någon kom och hämtade oss med en "havssköldpadda" vi hann i tid och började vår resa ut till öppet vatten. Vi börjar med att se över 6 späckhuggare. Vi såg sedan några valar, vi fick även se en enorm grupp sjölejon. Sjölejonen luktade fruktansvärt, det fick alla att komma in igen (bara ett gott skratt). Vi såg fler valar och till och med en mamma och en bebis som vinkade åt oss. Jag hade en fantastisk tid och ser fram emot mitt nästa besök. Det var ganska kallt men vi bjöds på kaffe och varm coco, men jag rekommenderar att ni packar ner lite mat och njuter med familjen. Resan var mycket bekväm. Personalen var mycket kunnig och vänlig.

Vi hade turen att vi fick se minst sex puckelryggar på nära håll. Mer på avstånd. Det var en mulen dag men det minskade inte denna fantastiska upplevelse. Kaptenen gjorde ett bra jobb med att manövrera båten för att maximera upplevelsen. De två naturforskarna (i gult) gjorde ett bra jobb med att dela med sig av sina kunskaper och erfarenheter. Båten var ren och gav gott om utrymme för visningar

Fantastic whale watching tour

What a fantastic day we had even the rain didn’t put us off nor did it stop the whales coming out. We had two pods of young orcas near the shore line eating then we saw a heap of seal lions, plus some humpback whales but what set the whole thing off was the large male orca Noah coming up and surfacing a few times. All the crew were fantastic and quite knowledgeable and the coffee was great keeping us warm. It was just a dream day loved every minute of it.

It was freezing and there was no preparation for this. The guides on board did their best but 5 hours without any sightings, in a cold boat (even inside) little help on what to bring. I understand that sightings aren’t guaranteed however this felt like we were never going to see anything

We are sorry to hear that your trip did not meet your expectations Sam. Our captains and guides are extremely experienced and do everything they can to spot whales for our customers. Unfortunately, it's these trips that do remind us that these magnificent creatures are wild animals and they do not work to a schedule like we do. For this reason we never guarantee any sightings, but we do offer our 'whale sighting guarantee'. We do hope that you will be able to come back another time to redeem this guarantee on a day that the whales are a bit less shy! Thank you for sharing your feedback on your trip. We try to call our customers the day before their trips to remind them of the importance of wrapping up warmly as we know it does get much colder out on the water! We also like to encourage everyone to bring their own snacks onboard as sometimes it can be a longer trip. Gray Whales, Hot Chocolate, and the Best Crew!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful time! All 3 generations. We spoke most frequently to Wilma who was a wealth of knowledge! We learned about different types of whales, in addition to Bald Eagles, Seals and Sea Lions. Although we weren’t able to see orcas, we were able to see multiple gray whales, which are apparently even rarer to see. The whole crew was very safety-oriented, customer-service oriented, conservation-forward, and overall a joy to be around. The captain did an excellent job orienting the boat and slowing down so we could see the wildlife. The complementary coffee, hot chocolate, and tea were very welcomed and appreciated! Thank you Prince of Whales for a memorable experience!

The whole trip was simply amazing. We've spent on the water just over four hours, we managed to spot some southern resident orcas and although our time with them was cut short due to species being under strict protection, still the trip was worth every cent. Seeing Vancouver and surrounding islands from this perspective was for me the highlight of my holiday. Big shoutout to Petra who did amazing job during the whole trip, she was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about the wildlife, she really did add another level to the whole experience. If I ever come back to Vancouver, I will definitely go for another trip with Prince of Whales.

This whale-watching tour is a true gem! The staff (shout-out to Luke, Stephen, and Petra, as well as Karl and Roman!) are very experienced and well-informed and more than willing to share their knowledge on the wildlife you get to see. We were lucky and got to see humpback and killer whales, sea lions, and bald eagles, to name a few. The experience was unique. You also receive high-quality wildlife photographs taken by the staff during your trip, so no need to try to capture every sight with your smartphone. I highly recommend this tour!

Great ship and crew - definitely do it

A great trip. Well worth it. The staff were lovely. Proactive about finding whales, but kept it relaxed and enjoyable. Very entertaining with great stories whilst not over the top. Happy to interact but not in your face. Would recommend to family & friends I bought souvenir socks and enjoy the memories when I wear them Would go again.
