Natur och historia finns i överflöd i den 27 hektar stora Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, bara några minuter från det livliga centrumet i Vancouver. Capilano Suspension Bridge och helt nya Cliffwalk, som ligger i den unika miljön i British Columbias cedertoftande regnskog, låter dig fördjupa dig i naturens skönhet samtidigt som du får upp adrenalinet.

Ursprungligen byggd 1889, den 450 fot långa Capilano Suspension Bridge svävar 230 fot över Capilanofloden och är din inkörsport till skogen bortom. Ta dig tid att korsa denna magnifika struktur medan du njuter av den spektakulära utsikten över kanjonen och floden nedanför.

Men för en riktig spänning är den imponerande Cliffwalk inte att missa. Denna fantastiska gångväg sticker ut från granitklippan i Capilano Canyon och tar gästerna till områden i parken som tidigare var outforskade. Högt och smalt, Cliffwalk är inte för hjärtans finta. En serie fribärande, upphängda gångvägar kramar om klippan.

Sis and I loved the Capilano Bridge

My sister and I were a little scared to walk the bridge at first, but thankfully the bridge was wider than we thought and didn’t move too much. However, the cliff walk was terrifyingly amazing! If you’re borderline afraid of heights… don’t recommend this one. Overall, such a great experience and hope to come back again soon with the rest of the family.

Our visit to “Raincouver” in April was as expected… RAIN. I had done a quick search “what to do in Vancouver during the rain” and this was one of them. I was a bit skeptical but the fact that the websites said it was *uncrowded* during the rain made it appealing. The *free* shuttle buses from 3 convenient downtown locations made the transportation seamless. Although it was chilly and misty like a true rainforest, there was an interactive scavenger hunt worksheet that engaged the kids (and adults)! Loved the speakers with the falcons! Needless to say, the views of the gorge underneath the suspension bridge was gorgeous. Highly recommended!

My experience was excellent. The service provided of free shuttle was cherry on cupcake and of courses the whole rainforest was mesmerizing. Highly recommended. Keep it up

The park is small, the price is a little high, but it is worth it. We are around 70 years old, but we really enjoy the bridge and cliff walk. The only downside was we have been waiting at bus pick up location for 40 minutes, the shuttle bus didn't come, so we had to take taxi to the park. But return shuttle was on time and drop us at downtown.

This is our second time visiting the park, but the first Christmas-time visit. It was absolutely wonderful. I believe it would be wonderful if they had a similar experience during the summer as well. All the same, it's so good to walk slowly and take it all in and breathe the clean air.

The bridge walk was beautiful as well as the cliff walk. I thought I would be more reluctant although once the started it was full speed ahead! The complimentary shuttle was a nice added feature although it was not clear as to what time to be at the shuttle for pick up. I had to email and ask. It did leave promptly at 30 minutes before the time of the trip. The trip was not a guided trip. Since it does rain a lot and it was cold, I recommend an umbrella, waterproof non slippery shoes and a warmish jacket. A definite activity! Bring a camera…some nice photo opportunities!

The Suspension Bridge provided a great view of the stream below & surrounding area. It truly bounces as you walk across. The treetop walk was beautiful. The enormous trees and lovely ferns were beautiful. Another time, we’ll stay longer. We didn’t do the cliff side walk, but it looked nice, too. The surrounding area is pretty commercialized. Nice gift shop. Free shuttle to Canada Place was so convenient!
