What To Expect

Make your own way to meet your guide at the Yas Marina Circuit, located on Yas Island, an artificial island just outside Abu Dhabi.

Board the comfortable, air-conditioned minivan, and cruise around the track, stopping for photo ops at the North Grandstand, Yas Marina, Shams Tower, and Yas Drag Racing strip.

Next, visit the state-of-the-art control room and see the high-tech screens that allow the race director and team to monitor practice sessions and live races. Learn how pit crews work when you step into the air-conditioned pit support garages and check out the 500-seat media center.

Your final stop takes you into the exclusive Paddock Club, the site where the racing elite can be found on race days.

      Great “behind the scenes” experience for both F1 enthusiasts and non race fans alike! Fantastic knowledgeable guide. Enjoyed seeing the control room and driving the track!

      Initially our taxi driver took us to a hotel called Yas Centro, however after checking the paperwork again he soon found gate 20 and Yas Central. We were there in plenty of time and watched some driverless testing while waiting for the tour to start which was interesting the other upside to this was the control room was in operation so we got to see them at work. The downside obviously we couldn’t go on the track. Our guide was very good and interesting. We loved this tour especially as both huge F1 fans when the race comes around in November we will be able to identify the points of interest.
      Finding the meeting point was a challenge

      The tour was really good, however I was disappointed at the lack of information regarding how to get to the meeting point. Please be mindful it’s not easy to get to Yas Central using the Yas express as it rarely stops there. Also taxi drivers don’t seem to know how to get to Yas central either. One taxi driver got lost and told me it was closed and not accessible so I gave up with him and got into another taxi, he also didn’t know and had to get directions from security. Yas central is inside the actual circuit so you have to go to GATE 20 to get inside.

      Our tour bus got special permission to drive on the track for 15-minutes! It was an amazing experience and the tour guide was witty and charming. We also got to visit the new trophy platform and hear about the wonderful stories of this great sport. Getting to the tour meeting place was very confusing and we almost didn't make the 2:00pm start time. They need better signage to direct the tour attendees. Overall, this was a 5-star tour and worth the amazing experience. Thank you!

      Just a great experience of being on a race track that dished out the best race of 2021 ...also the tour guide (I can't remember his name..) I did the morning tour on the 4th of Dec.. he was great ,friendly, informative, professional,,.next trip to yas marina would be for the race in 2024..hope to meet the individual whose.name I can't remember,,great guy..

      This tour is a must for F1 fans but even if you are not you will still enjoy it! Our guide was very informative and funny. We even got the opportunity to walk on the track and go up the viewing tour.

      An amazing experience. Highly recommend. So glad we booked the tour. Our tour guide spoke perfect English and was knowledgeable and informative. He was polite and friendly and made the experience fun too. A must do tour and well worth the monies.

      So the tour guides were great - I did the tour Sunday 24th at 2pm. It started a little after 2pm and I thought it ended quite quickly at 3:30pm so less than 2 hour tour. We didn’t get to see the control room as indicated on the tour brief on the website. I think that the experience could have been more exciting - it was so quiet on the track they could have had one car drive around for us to hear some sound - let us experience the sound of an F 1 car on the track. Everything was nice but nothing really very exciting. They do not even have a nice gift shop, very little variety. I’ve been to tours in leMans and we got all the experience but this wasn’t as exciting. I’m a huge F1 fan and what I did experience and see there I was happy and excited but it could have been better for the money spent.

      Excursion refund

      Unfortunately we were unable to attend the tour due to our cruise ship not being allowed in to the port on the day of the excursion. As we were within the 24 hour cancellation period we believed we were unable to cancel the trip. However on return to the UK i requested a refund which was accepted and the whole cost of the excursion was returned to me within in 24 hours. I cannot thank and praise Viator enough for the great service I have received. 5☆

      My husband and I went to this tour. What a day! The tour guide was an absolute dream knew his stuff inside out about everything. It was a birthday treat for my husband.
