Amazing trip, definitely do this!

Highly recommend! Very organised and efficient tour, on a comfortable air conditioned coach to get there. Our guide Akram was incredible, very informative, fun, patient and went the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great day including recommendations during our free time and tips for things to watch out for. During the walk round the medina, Akram gave us historical insights and made sure we saw every part of the medina such as shoe making, leather, carpets, woodwork and all the hand making stalls. We stopped off at a Cooperative Laboratory/Shop where they sell 100% argan oil and was given an information session on all the natural medicines. Lunch at the Grand Bazaar (which you could still have if not pre-booked) was lovely and on a roof top with gorgeous view. We were even lucky enough on the way to Marrakech to see the famous goats on trees and were allowed to stop off for pictures! Thank you Akram, Rashid (coach driver) and the other guides who joined us in Marrakesh due to our large group size!

Our guide Akram was fantastic. Took us around the narrow streets of the Medina and the Souks. He also took us to a rooftop restaurant with amazing panoramic views of Marrakech. The food was great too, be sure to order the Tangia. Enough free time to do a little exploration by yourself. I would highly recommend this trip, just be prepared for the long bus journey.

The pickup was over 30mins late due to organizational issues from the provider. Other than that, the day was a nice experience that we enjoyed. The guide was knowledgeable and managed intelligently to lead the group through the lively souk and hold everybody together. There was also free time to enjoy. The ride is very long and the excursion lasted much longer than expected. We were back at our hotel at about 9:30pm.

I can highly recommend this trip, Akram was a brilliant guide and kept everyone together, he was very knowledgeable and professional and lead us around the souk with ease, you get to see a lot of the different types of stalls and goods that are for sale. He gives you information about the Atlas Mountains and about the different cities in Morocco and how Marrakesh differs from the others. He also tells you how to barter in the souk during the free time you get to have a walk around, as well as how much you should pay the snake charmers or monkey handlers, and that if they won’t accept the amount they are not legally allowed to follow you or harass you. The only thing that could have been better was the service at the restaurant which was slow and disorganised, which was giving poor Akram so much stress trying to get them to sort it out as we were on a time limit!! Sadly it was out of his hands, we managed to get our food and it was nice and tasty a little cold but we ate it. Over all Akram is a brilliant guide and the tour is well worth it and worth every penny, especially if you are new to Morocco, if you are nervous about the souk or bartering he puts your mind at ease and makes it a very fun day to remember, it even has inspired my wife to go to the Souk El Had in Agadir and barter!! If you can avoid the restaurant and find your own food it’s probably best as they needed more staff, but if you have someone with intolerances or allergies like my wife then you are better going with Akram to the restaurant so he can tell the staff and you know you are more likely to be safe then on your own. If I could give this tour more stars I would.

Excellent tour of the beautiful city

An absolutely must do while in Morocco and we choose the best tour guide! Akram did a wonderful job discussing Moroccan culture and history while on the bus ride to Marrakesh (in both English and French). While in Marrakesh, he continued to tell us all about the old city and it’s culture and expertly kept track of all of us. Akram also took care to tell us of all the tourist traps so that we could avoid them. We went to lunch with the group, while separate from our ticket. However, both the lamb tajine and tangia marrachia were amazing! We’d recommend either of those dishes along with mint tea. After lunch, we had free time and were able to re-visit the souk to buy some things before re-grouping. The bus ride was very smooth and stopped about half way there each way to allow everyone to use the restroom, get some snacks, or just stretch their legs. And completely separate from the tour and does not take away from Akram’s wonderful tour, but as a reminder, this is a long day (13-14 hours) and is not well suited for young kids.

A great way to see the real Marrakesh

I have used this tour operator for many excursions and once again was not disappointed. It is a long journey but really is worth it! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and think if you are considering a trip into Marrakesh a guided tour us a must rather than going solo. We felt safe and was shown all the best bits! There was 1 1/2 hrs of free time to explore as you wished. The guide did take us to a argon oil shop (women’s institute) where we were pitched to for sales, which lasted approx 1/2 hr this stop was not on the schedule , however we were glad of the air condition room and a test from the heat. It was just a little awkward when he asked for purchases.

An Experience That Requires A Few Days To See It All

This tutor starts early and requires everyone to be prompted so its a raise and shine attitude that's needed. Unfortunately, my mother and I did not make it to the coach on time but luckily enough for us a lot of others people didn't neither, which meant the coach was still waiting for people to board. Our tutor guide Akram was very understanding and we appreciated it. We stopped to take a few picture of and with some goats. One chewed on my dress staining and putting a bit of a hole in it, oh well, I guess. One bit my mother's finger whilst she was holding it for a picture, I guess it was a little hungry lol ( look for the funny side of things ) We found Akram to be very informative and it's great that he can speak more than one language too. We lost the odd person or 2 but Akram found them with ease and before anyone of us had even realising that we were short a member or 2 from the group. He's a brilliant tutor guide and keep a very close eye on things and he helped me haggle too. We had an other guide but sadly I cannot remember his name but he had long hair and a big beard and spoke a bit of French as well as English, he was great too and just as friendly and helpful as Akram, the 2 of them together made a great team. The souk maze was is huge with 16 gates, if I remember correctly. It's not hard to get a little lost in there but people are friendly and helpful. I've been to the souk twice now and got lost on my second visit but like I said people are helpful and Akram found me no problem. Haggle hard and try to find out the starting range of things before getting into anything and be mindful of their selling tack ticks as they're very effective on most people. We went to a roof top restaurant to eat and the food was lovely, just what we needed. When we returned back to the UK I looked for Moroccan food but sadly it just didn't taste the same as in Marrakech.

Would highly recommend this tour! From start to finish Akram our guide was amazing, talked us through the history of Morocco on the way, made sure we were all together through the medina and lead us back to the hotel. Would 100% book again.
