This was well worth the money! We received front door service at our hotel. It was nice to be able to visit the attractions at our pace instead of being with a group. We ended up getting done with some stuff early so we were able to see the changing of the guard which was a neat extra. We got great souvenirs from a shore right by the Acropolis. My favorite was the Olympic stadium! Definitely book with them. Our driver was amazing. My husband lost his card but I really wanted to recognize him. He talked sports with my husband which added a personal touch.

Worth the Extra Cost

Ruslan knew his way around the city and timed our arrival at major sights to avoid crowds. We managed to see much more in half a day than we would have in two days on our own. His commentary on Athenian history and culture filled provided a lot of information we were lacking. He even helped correct some misconceptions we had prior to our tour. We really appreciated the pick up at our hotel and drop off at the cruise terminal. It made our last day in Athens much easier.

We had an absolutely perfect experience on this tour - our driver, Ruslan, was so knowledgeable and professional and he was able to share an excellent amount of historical context to all he was showing us - this tour was the perfect balance of guided and independent experiences packed efficiently into a five hour window. We highly recommend this trip to anyone who has only a day to experience Athens or if you’re looking for something foundational to set the stage for a longer visit.

Flexible private tour of Athens

Rustan was quite knowledgeable about Athens and its history. He was on time with a very comfortable car and he showed great flexibility when we encountered heavy traffic due to a political demonstration around the Parliament building. He revised the itinerary to see other sites first then back to the rear of Parliament to see the changing of the guard.
