Fantastic service with multiple routes for one price. Great drivers and tourism staff to answer questions at bus stop. My tip to travellers please be kind and courteous to these lovely people and let them finish speaking before you cut them off.

This is a great way to get around Athens without the stress of driving or catching multi forms of public transport ! Great route options to see all the main attractions. I think it could be a little cleaner on the actual bus and maybe needs updating soon but for the great price , can’t complain.

Day trip from the cruise port. We essentially got from the port to the Acropolis and back. It was more of a lower cost transportaripn option. We were not able to take advantage of the Athens line unfortunately - due to time constraints. There was a line of hop off buses waiting at the port exit. The tour was easy to find. Friendly staff at the port.

Great Way to See City Quickly

Hop on Hop off Bus is a great way to see city sites quickly. If you have a couple of days the bus can help you map out what you want to visit and if the bus is the best mode of transportation for what you want to do. My husband is 6'6" so the seats were a challenge for him comfortwise but you are not on the bus for longer than 2 hours at the most.

The good parts of the Hop On Hop Off experience were 1. being able to get on a bus right at the cruise terminal, and 2. being able to soak in the sun on the top deck while doing the loops through Athens. Otherwise, it was frustrating. The sound only worked through one station at our seats and it was difficult to find the English version as the channels were not identified. The timing of the commentary was poor, not letting you know what to look for in advance and offering long periods of silence or music rather than giving any history of Athens. The information was minimal and the recorded voice was heavily accented so it was difficult to understand, even in English. Heavy Sunday traffic (even though it was off-season) caused many delays in scheduling. At the Acropolis, there was no way of knowing where to stand to catch the connecting bus to either Piraeus or the city tour. One driver told us he was not going to the port and then, just when we left to find the proper bus, started loading everyone for the port. In general, the people who were waiting the longest, ended up being the last to load. This could have been such a good experience, but wasn't.

Gets you to all the best locations

Excellent tour route covered all the main points of interest. Commentary was very informaive. Stops are frequent and even though I was there in February quite frequent. I used 2 of the 3 lines and the extra day on your ticket is an excellent bonus.

Could have been nice but…….

It would have been great except for the demonstrations that stalled traffic and didn’t allow access to many stops. We had to walk from one of the stops back to the exchange point to be able to return to our cruise ship.

Narration was out of sync with points of interest we passed — too late. Audio quality through earbuds was fair at best. If you’re on the upper deck and want to debark at a destination, you better hustle. Music between narratives was Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance—high school graduation music (!) Driver’s skill in navigating narrow streets was magical. Not the tour’s fault: Many graffiti covered, soot stained buildings between amazing millennia-old architectural ruins.

Very good way to around Athens from the cruise ship port. It had stops at all of the important sites and shopping. A little disorganized at the transfer point at the Acropolis, but overall a good experience.
