A Fun & Educational Way to Discover Atlanta

This Tour is highly recommended because it will give you a detailed orientation on Atlanta. It is very educational since the City is rich in Historical events and notable people. Shelly our Tour Guide made it extra enjoyable showing us around the different areas and attractions. It’s truly value for money and time spent well!

Room for Improvement

We were on a long layover awaiting an international flight and hoped to spend our few hours wisely. Our mission was to visit the Martin Luther King Memorial Site and gain an overview of the city. Most of our 5 hours was dedicated to driving about shopping areas and exclusive neighborhoods. Our driver guide was verbose and although familiar with the city her commentary was mostly chatter. We were fortunate enough to to stop at two sites including the Carter Center, our favorite. We were told earlier in the day that the site was closed but somehow this worked. Apparently we were destined to visit a marketplace had this not come to be. We were the only two on the tour. The guide did not accompany us on our brief inside visits.

Shelby was great!!! She was knowledgeable and even spent an extra hour with us to ensure the impulsive questions we had were addressed and even made a quick stop on a couple of sites that were not included in the tour. To top that our group was really small (total of 6) so she was able to give us more a customized tour based on our requests.

Drive through Buckhead mansions was beautiful. Time at the Carter Center was great but felt rushed. Our guide did not have a great historical understanding of Atlanta. We spent most of our time in the van hearing hearing how much has changed for the worse through growth after the Olympics. She was most passionate talking about houses with her favorite landscaping and older homes being torn down and pricing out long time residents. Left wishing we had more stops and time out of the van.

She was amazing! Never stopped giving interesting information about Atlanta, past and present. We saw very different sections of the city, including mansions, homes of famous/ infamous people(i.e. Al Capone, Kenny Rogers, Coca Cola founder), commercial underground development, theater district, night club area. Worth every penny!!!

My guide Shelly was phenomenal. The history that she expelled was unmatched. Shelly shared the history of Atlanta from the 1800's through today. From the cuisine, to the politicians, the locals the communities, the neighborhoods and even to the celebrities. I felt like I was riding a time machine. Best tour ever. Thank you Shelly.

We make a point of taking city tours when we travel. This one failed to meet our expectations for a number of reasons. First, the van we travelled had a badly slipping transmission, cracked windshield and malfunctioning running board for entry and exit. Our tour guide, while a charming and engaging person, injected personal opinions and side views most everything on the trip. We had hoped for more factual and relevant information regarding Atlanta. Our stop for food came 4 hours into the tour and left little time to enjoy the experience.
