  • Due to weather, flights may be 100 to 120 minutes in length
  • Wheelchair accessible - if assistance is required, passenger must provide their own caregiver
  • All pilots and aircraft are FAA-certified
  • Helicopter holds 6 passengers; larger groups may be separated
  • Infants must sit on laps
  • All guests weighing 270 lbs or more when weighed at check-in, will be required to purchase an additional empty seat less 15% before fuel surcharge to safely balance the aircraft. They will be guaranteed a window seat.
  • Seating is assigned based on weight and balance following guidelines which have been approved by the FAA. We cannot guarantee seats as the weight of guests must be balanced within the aircraft.
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Most travelers can participate
  • A seat upgrade is not a guarantee; however, if you purchase a co-pilot and/or window seat upgrades, we will do our best to seat you in your purchased location. If we cannot accomodate a seat upgrade due to weight and balance requirements for your flight (or for any other reason), we will refund your upgrade purchase at check-in.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Tyler was a fantastic tour guide. We chanced on perfect weather and got to get inside some valleys that aren't available most days. Worth the spend for a fantastic memory and a great view of the island.

We looked down into the steaming caldera of Kilauea, flew over the lava fields, enjoyed the beautiful coastline and looked down on dozens of mother whales with their calves as we flew over the ocean. Our pilot was a great guide, explaining everything we were seeing and including both the scientific and the mythological explanations. A really memorable and fantastic tour.

We had such a fantastic time exploring the Island from above! Our pilot Conner shared so much information about this sacred place. The side of the island with waterfalls is incredible! There was lack of coordination between heli operator and Viator. We weren’t given the right timings after writting multiple emails. Our flight was 10.30 and we were informed it is at 8.00 am. We were 2 families flying 2 heli and were given wrong timings and hence had to wait 2 hours. Helicopter ride was definitely mesmerizing.

It was incredible to see parts of the island you can't view any other way. Seeing the lava flows from above and flying by the valleys and waterfalls was a sight I will never forget. It felt like I was in another world. We even saw some humpback whales! Our pilot (I can't remember his name, but I imagine they are all great) did an amazing job keeping the ride steady and safe and giving us interesting facts about the island. Highly recommend this experience!
