    Beautiful view

Great view, but would only want to do this on a nice day so can see the view. Difficult to plan in advance. Lovely views though
Be careful about where you buy your tickets. Otherwise pleasant experience.

I took a family member who was visiting us from out of town into the city for the day for sight seeing. We purchased tickets through this Viator site at the last minute where it says you need timed entry. This was the first site that comes up when you google "Boston observation deck." Please note that there was no street address given so we somehow thought we were physically closer to the venue when we booked our ticket and we're attempting to walk. However , after booking , I realized we were actually forty minutes away, if we were to walk, whereas I initally thought we were a fifteen minute walk (from Fenuil Hall). There is an observation deck for the wharf area that was close, however we mistakenly bought tickets for the observation deck at Prudential Centrer, after the fact. We realized we weren't going to make it in time and tried to call and see if we could bump up the ticket to a later hour. I called the number to try and reach the tour operator and ended up with an answering service who then also tried to contact the tour operator directly and then realized they could not speak to an actual person at View Boston Prudential Center. At that point I just asked if I could get a refund since we weren't gonna make it for the times slat we had registered. The agent emailed View Boston on my behalf to start the process for a refund. After hanging up, I also tried to call the venue directly and it went to a voicemail system that informed us the view Boston would not be open until June (this turned out to be misinformation). Regardless I decided that we would go ahead and visit Prudential Center since we still had a couple hours before they were going to close and we could walk around and see the shops at least. Out of curiosity we stumbled upon the View Boston area in the shopping mall at Prudential Center where we finally realized we could have just purchased tickets directly there which were about half the price of what this website was charging. I spoke to the customer service person at this location and showed her the tickets I had purchased on my phone where she also remarked that we paid too much. However, she did mention that this is a partner site and decided to honor our purchase and let us go on to the actual observation after all. The downside is we purchase tickets that included an eight dollar voucher for the Gift shop along with a $12 voucher that could have been used at either the bar or the gift shop for a twenty dollar combined total price in voucher's per ticket. When we got up to the observation deck, I asked the person at the top-level.What time the gift shop close so that we would have time to use our vouchers and she told us ten o'clock. So we proceeded to walk around for an hour since it was about eight forty five p m at that point and we did enjoy the views as well as the ride up in the elevator to the observation deck which is pretty well done. However, by the time we made it to the gift shop around nine thirty , we were told that it had closed earlier at nine pm. This was contradictory to what the staff member had already told us. When I explained that our ticket price included the vouchers they then brought out an employee who had been working in the restaurant to open the register in the gift shop for us and allow us to purchase some items which I really appreciate. However, it was very awkward, as they definitely seemed uneasy about trying to accommodate us.Knowing that the gift shop was supposed to be closed already it was a bit of a hassle. On top of everything, they only honored the $8 route you because the tickets that were printed at the customer service desk for us did not include the $12 voucher that was advertised online.Do this website. I ended up spending $68 extra money on top of the tickets I had already paid for so that I could cover the cost of items that we had planned to buy which ended up not being covered by the twelve dollar voucher after all. Fine. My guests were happy enough that at least we were able to get some souvenirs. On top of everything we were told that the restaurant was closed with last call at eight forty five p m so we wouldn't have been able to use our voucher there anyhow even if it had been made available to as it should have been. If the observation deck is open until ten p m I don't understand why the gift shop in the restaurant close so early without any communication about those hours. It's kind of a rip off. At the very least false advertising. Do appreciate that. The staff member went out of their way to acommodate at the gift shop but it doesn't help the fact that I spent money on tickets that didn't end up covering everything as this partner site initially promised. At this point I have requested a refund of 50% to reimburse for the vouchers and the fact that we could have spent half of what we ended up paying for the tickets if we had just bought from the venue directly. I also realized after the fact that this website advertised that you would receive a special map as a souvenir and that was not offered to us at all once we arrived at the venue so that is yet another thing that wasn't covered as promised initially. If we had just avoided this website and bought from the venue directly, we could have avoided a lot of unnecessary expense and awkward moments due to miscommunication and false advertising. At the end of the day, my guest enjoyed themselves and didn't realize all the hassle that I was dealing with because I didn't want to ruin their time but it would be truly excellent if someone could follow-up on this issue and communicate with me about a possible refund as well as fix the misinformation so that this doesn't happen to other people moving forward... There is a ticket opened for my request and I am a waiting response through email. The View Boston experience itself was worth the direct venue price but not the overpriced amount offered through this partner's site. If I ever come back to this venue I would definitely not buy through a partner site again. It's hard to avoid since there are paid google ads bringing this site to the top of web search results when looking to buy tickets. Would be better if the actual venue site came up first or was made available via this Viator listing Instead of forcing people to perceive that this is the only way to purchase tickets that are overpriced and overpromising on items that should have been included based on the given description. The view itself was beautiful and the upgrades to this exhibit.Since I last attended in twenty nineteen were very impressive... Just need to make it very clear that the gift shop and the restaurant do not stay open as long as the observation deck so people aren't confused and misinformed including the seemed not to all be on the same page about this either. Please take my feedback as constructive. I think it's a nice thing that you offer. This experience just need some improvement. Thank you.

Seeing the sky scrapers and the whole city before sunset was really cool. I definitely recommend going if you have nothing to do.

Amazing views, amazing drinks, and our waitress was amazing too! Anybody visiting Boston must go! Had a great time, anything I come to Boston I will make a stop here.
    Must do after other tours
    Jennifer_G, Mar 2024
The experience is fun, especially if you already did a walking or bike tour and then to see those landmarks from 52 floors up is super cool. However! Tickets bought through this site have to be traded in on site for scannable tickets. Not a big deal, but an extra step.
    Nice view
    Shannon_M, Feb 2024
Very nice city view but the windows were dirty and had a pretty big glare unless you cupped your hands around your phone as it was pressed against the window. I think the price was too steep for what it was.
    Beautiful views.

This is a great way to see Boston and plan your destinations. They have kiosks which allows you to plan you day if need be. Great idea. Stay for the presentations on the way out. They are really well done.
    Beautiful Views (especially at sunset)
    Michael_S, Jan 2024
Beautiful views of Boston, especially as the sun set. Cool adjoining display rooms on the top floors. Lounge area outside the restaurant with couches, very convenient.
    Amazing views at night....

Amazing views at night. Definitely worth it. I would recommend to check out the experience as well after the views.

    Barbara_E, Dec 2023
The ticket view did not show. Consequently, not able to download the access. Not able to contact the provider. Issue not resolved. Not able to actually attend.

Festive time of year. Was a gorgeous sunny winter day. Loved the interactive screens and the film. Even the elevator ride was special. I felt like I was on an amusement ride. Friendly staff. Beautiful lounges to sit. All in all a good experience.
A Stunning View of the City of Boston

We had a great time at View Boston. It was an amazing experience. This was my second time going, but I had way more fun this time around.
    Great experience

Great and I would recommend this to anyone. I would love to visit during evening to see night lights probably.
    Spectacular views of Boston
    Maryellen_K, Sep 2023
Loved this experience!!! Try to go at sunset, as it’s truly spectacular!!! It’s new & improved - you can view inside and outside and there’s a bar/bistro as well! Definitely worth the time and money!!!
Good, but glare on glass partition made pictures low quality
    Jonathan_R, Jul 2023
The sky view was nice but not exactly what we were expecting. The glare from the glass on both observation decks made it difficult to get many good pictures, but the view was definitely beautiful in person. If you want to go to just see a 360 view of Boston this is for you, but if you want to go up and take pictures, this may not be what you're expecting either.
