The 2.5-mile-long (4-kilometer) Freedom Trail winds through downtown Boston, from southerly Boston Common, the nation’s oldest public park, to the Bunker Hill Monument on the north side of the Charles River. The red-brick path and its designated stops, including colonial-era churches, museums, and meeting houses, make for an excellent introduction to Boston and its role in the American Revolution and United States history.

What are people saying about Freedom Trail

Excellent
It was a wet day in Boston but the company of the other guests and Sam the guide made the food tour a very enjoyable morning. We had several food stops, the Union Oyster Bar was especially good with Clam Chowder and crab cakes which were delicious, we were able to walk round the very old historic building. Sam gave excellent commentary on much of Boston’s history as we toured the Freedom Trail and North End.

Good tour
Was difficult following directions to get to where the tour started. I booked it and wanted to use on my boyfriend's phone but it was impossible so I had to buy it a second time with his name on his phone to actually use it. The Freedom Trail line really helped us navigate and the arrow in the app helps too. Very difficult to hear unless you're using headphones because of all the traffic noise. Otherwise a good historical telling of all the sites.
