Mediocre community dinner theatre

This was not what I expected for a tango show. The food was just OK. I didn’t get my third course and only got one drink. The views are obstructed by support beams. The singing and dancing was more like community theatre. I talked to others who went to different shows and they had a better experience. I feel like the show was trying to do the history of tango through costume and dance but it didn’t translate well.

Overall, great value with: transport to and from the venue from my hotel, good dinner although service felt a little rushed at time. Show itself very well thought out giving the history of tango, with era appropriate music, costumes and video display. Great dancers, musicians and singers, especially the baritone who, for me, had one of the best voices I have heard in a long time - pitch perfect and wonderful emotion without overdoing it, which would be easy to slip into and go for "big dramatic" singing and gestures.

Unmissable tango evening

Great show portraying tango through the ages. Easy to see the dancers, singers and band. Opted for the show only option but this included a choice of entree or dessert plus endless amounts of beer, wine or soft drinks. Good service, enjoyable evening.

Let’s start with the good. The food was delicious! The service was great. The ride was easy and very convenient. With all of the good the terrible wildly out rates it. I paid a lot of money and was sat behind a support beam. I could not see most of the show, I had to keep rocking back and forth. The floor was so packed you were unable to move. The person sitting behind me was so close they kept knocking in to my chair. I had to stand in the doorway to see any of the dancing. The dancing was okay. Although I would say there are only a handful of bad seats in the building I would not risk being sat in one of them.

We loved the intimate setting in a room that took us back in time. The musicians and dancers were excellent! The show is an overview of how the tango started and what it has become today. Everything went smoothly with the pickup at the hotel and we appreciated the convenience of the transfer. One thing to be aware of is that the food is mediocre. The service was great, but it might be a better plan to eat somewhere else and just watch the show.

It was OK for the placement and the meal but it was great indeed for the show. We do enjoyed it thanks to tango historique presentation and d’Anvers performances. A big applause to the musiciens and s’ingère.

The tango performance itself is fantastic. But the overall experience is AWFUL. I had very high expectation for the show and feel sad it didn’t go well. It is overbooked, and they put table right in the middle of the main path way, where all waiters / actors / audience going to toilet will constantly pass me during the show time and I had to move every single time to give way. I dont mind giving way to actors, but I don’t understand why waiters need to go and collect the empty plates during show time. I can not think of any worse performance viewing experience. The seat ruined the experience.

The dancing was so wonderful and staff were so nice and accommodating. The one thing that ruined the night was when someone came around and took our picture then handed us the printed copy. Then stood by the door like a bouncer forbidding you to leave unless you paid for it. It should have been asked and discussed before. Everything else was great except that.

We were picked up at the hotel much later than the time we were given, so were beginning to worry, but after that the evening went very smoothly. Our table was way off to the side, so the stage lights were often in our eyes, but we enjoyed the historical aspect of the tango performances and the singers which alternated with the dancing. The meal was okay, but nothing special.

Very hectic night from staff point of view. Booked transport made getting there and back very easy. Food was very good, show excellent. Only issue was that post, mentioned in a previous review. Viator needs to insists it’s clients get an uninterrupted view of stage or receive a discount for seeing only 75 percent of the show.

Getting tickets through Viator is a hassle!!!!! The seats at the show were less than satisfactory ! Not great for watching Tango! Show started 45 minutes late😂 Better shows somewhere I am sure!
