A must-do gaucho cultural immersion.
Khristine_G, Apr 2024
A wonderful way to immerse into the gaucho (cowboy) way of life. Very good tour guide and driver tandem of Maria and Nicolas who made sure that we are well informed of the day’s itinerary and kept us safe all throughout. Maria was very informative about Gauchos and about Argentina in general and spoke very good English. Nice visit to San Antonio de Areco town center (Museo Draghi and San Antonio de Padua church). The Ombu ranch where we went was also nice and served nice empanada, salads and choice cuts of meats (beef, chicken, pork). There was an option as well to do horseback riding or ride the carriage. The folk show was also nice. Overall a very good and fun full day tour.
Great day spent in countryside

We really enjoyed our day at the ranch, the horseback riding part is very short- plan anti mosquito spray, the mosquitoes are vicious- but nice, the ambiance of the outdoor picnic, the delicious- and very generous !! - lunch, and wine made for an awesome day in the countryside.
Gaucho’s experience

Great experience. Beautiful estancia and very nice hosts. We enjoyed riding the horses. The lunch was scrumptious. Great value. We enjoyed it very much.
This is a must do!

This was so much fun!!! The tour guide, Micaela, was so great! She was knowledgeable, and fun. The farm was so beautiful and the staff were warm, accommodating, and genuine. The food was delicious and just kept coming! The folk dancers were great and explained the dances and even pulled us into some of them. This is a must do to experience gaucho and farm life in Argentina!
A must do!

We enjoyed the brief tour on our way to the ranch. The empanadas, a snack when we arrived, were delicious. Then came the fun part - horseback riding. People of all ages did the ride. The gauchos were so helpful. That was followed by a large meal, dancing and the wonderful demonstration of the gaucho and his horse.
Amanda_M, Mar 2024
Very disappointed no gaucho show with his horse as stated didn't see any cart ride. The ride on the horse was on and around a field about 2mins there was 3 horses at a time took longer to get on and off than the ride. The singers and dancers were very good.Food was so so not impressed really we sat about ages waiting for it. Very disappointed was really looking forward to the gaucho and his horse show and that was the main reason for the trip Very very expensive to not have the experience we paid for. Anne the guide was lovely though. And the ranch was nice. But definitely not worth the money.
Enjoyable but not as advertised
Della_M, Mar 2024
It was an enjoyable afternoon but not as stated in the advertisement. We didn’t go to the Estancia as advertised and there was no Gaucho tales only folk dancing. Horse riding was a lap of the paddock.
A good experience

The communication with the tour operator was the best I have experienced on Viator. The friendliness of the tour guide Mariam was exceptional as was the driving skill of driver Brian. The venue was great and the horse riding demonstration was good. Food was just OK. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting a day away from the city bustle of Buenos Aries .

Disappointment re Gaucho Day Tour in San Antonio de Areco, Argentina
Robert_H, Mar 2024
We travelled during March 2024... The food was great.... However, as to the entertainment that we were suppose to have did NOT happen... Of the olptions re horseback activity, we choose the horse cart tour versus riding a horse... The ride was OK (the cart is quite oild) however, this time of year the mosquitos were deadly... My wife was bitten alive! As to the entertainment at the ranch, , there was people playing some music, a girl and man dance a little, a man showed love for his horse... HOWEVER, as far as gauchos entertainment - it was non-existent - no gauchos entertaining with rope tricks and tales of estancia life!!!! In addiition, in San Antonio de Areco, we visited the Museo Draghi however, WE DID NOT VISIT the Parroquia San Antonio de Padua or the Boliche de Bessonart... REALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Must see experience

Great Day in Argentina
Erik_P, Mar 2024
Really great experience. We learned a lot about the gaucho (cowboy/cowgirl) culture in Argentina. They were so talented! We had a very nice BBQ grilled meal to top things off. Our tour guide Sabrina was excellent! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. A very fun day.
Great day at the Ranch
DAVIDRC_M, Mar 2024
This was an amazing journey. So much of it was excellent and our guide was very knowledgeable. Horse back ride should have allowed for the splitting of the riders into more experienced and gentle ride, but it was nice. Tour. Was great food was excellent, should have had the beef brought out first as I was stuffed by the time it showed up. The gaucho entertainment was a great touch. Guide contributed to much to understanding early days of the Gaucho riders.

Fab day out Weather wasn’t kind as area had had lots of rain but food was traditional and tasty Staff very friendly Highlight of trip seeing the gaucho with his horse
Highly recommended!
Cheryl_J, Mar 2024
Great excursion out of the city to a ranch about 1.5 hours away. Unfortunately it was raining but we still had a great time eating, drinking and dancing and getting to know our fellow passengers. Miriam was our tour leader and she made huge efforts to make us happy and engage us in the activities.
A Relaxing Trip to the country side
Yu_H, Mar 2024
the only reason I did not give a 5 start but only 4 star for this Gaucho Day tour is because of the rain. The raining weather really spoil our fun in some way. But Angela, our tour guide, is a very considerate person, she is trying very much to make sure everyone is Happy. Indeed, we really had a good time for the entire trip. the food is also very nice. so many animals. horse riding..etc. That is really a moment of relaxation to me. And I made a lot of new friends. I love this trip. One more thing, thanks for her considerate and arrangment, when she realize my next Tango show tour is also under their company, and she starts to worry about being late, and after her continuous re-arrangment, I managed to return on time and catch the Tango show. that involves a lot of transit arrangment and back end hardwork. Thanks Angela for your caring and thanks Signature tour. Eventally everythning goes well for the day for both tour I booked. I love both of this.
Not as Described
Dennis_D, Mar 2024
This tour did not match the description. It did not go to San Antonio de Arco, and the places described in the itinerary were not visited prior to the ranch. Instead the stop was at Capilla del Senor, where we stood in a central park and several uninteresting buildings were described. At the ranch, there was an inordinate amount of “down time.” Our guide was not particularly interesting and did not fill our time. The activities at the ranch were as described and the food was very good. Overall we had a decent time but were disappointed.
Great full day tour to the countryside
sean_f, Mar 2024
Wonderful tour to a working gaucho farm. Our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable. They give you literally pounds of different meats for lunch. The meat was plentiful but, at least to me, somewhat bland. The gauchos did a brief show with their horses which was great. Due to the rain, we didn't get to ride the horses ourselves, but that wasn't anyone's fault. All in all, a very good 7 hour tour.
