Get a taste of Argentina's local cuisine with this nteractive dining experience in Buenos Aires. Begin with a Malbec-based cocktail, then learn how to make wine-based cocktails under the guidance of a sommelier and mixologist (if you choose the mixology option). What To Expect

This unique interactive dining experience starts with your arrival at the location, at which point you'll receive a Malbec wine-based cocktail and meet your fellow foodie travelers.

Suit up in an apron and chef hat, and then learn how to close traditional Argentine empanadas using different 'repulga' techniques. After, sit down to a dinner consisting of food from all four corners of the country, including bife de lomo, arguably Argentina's best steak. The food served varies, but might include famous culinary exports like chorizo and grilled provoleta cheese, and is paired expertly with four varietals of wine.

Finish by learning how to make your own mate, a traditional tea drink that has its own ritual, etiquette, and history, which you'll enjoy with alfajores, the typical Argentine dessert.

Mixology Option:

Enter the “aroma room” to test your olfactory senses, learning how to identify wine based on its smell with the guidance of a sommelier. Accompanied by gourmet appetizer pairings, you'll learn to create wine-based cocktails using red wine, white wine and rosé. Then, choose your favorite and mix yourself a large glass to take to dinner with you.

Best experience in Buenos Aires! I did tango shows, food tours, city tours, etc. and this was by far the best of all my experiences in Buenos Aires. I did the mixology and dinner and I’m glad I did both. Laura was a great teacher for the mixology lesson and I feel like I learned more about Argentine alcohol. The dinner portion was also fantastic, from the empanada lesson to the main course to the dessert and mate experience. Every member of the staff was fantastically kind and engaging with us. I also went as a solo traveler and felt it was one of the best ways to get to know other travelers. After eating and drinking and playing fun games together you’ll leave with some new friends! This is a can’t miss experience!

I've been on a lot of Viator tours around the world, and this was without question one of the best. Food was amazing and TONS of variety. Wine and drinks were excellent, the people running it were friendly, energetic and wonderful in every way. If you do one event in BA, I would recommend that it be this. Can't say enough good things.

Excellent food, excellent staff. and lots of fun! Each course came with an explanation of the origin and I enjoyed the flavor profiles of every dish I tasted. I received the menus for the meals tasted last night and I am anxious try prepare these meals for my family and friends. From my prospective, this is a must for any visit to Buenos Aires.

Come hungry and thirsty! They will serve you food and wine for the duration of the activity, which was about five hours. They’ll teach out how to make some unique cocktails and empanadas while educating you on classic Argentinian cuisine. Great atmosphere to learn local culture, eat and drink to your hearts content, and make some new travel friends.

This was a wonderful evening. Mixed all kinds of experiences into one dinner session. I told my wife that I did not want to do a cooking class, but the empanada making (a small part of the evening) was absolutely fun. The food, wine and company were amazing. Franco, Frani and Laura were wonderful and informative hosts. They were a lot of fun for all ages of adults. You should not miss this tour!

We did the tasting with the cocktails class at the beginning which was worth the experience over just the dinner. We got to sample 3 wine based cocktails then make the one we liked best. Of course each cocktail was paired with a nice bite made to complement the drink. The meal was terrific with a wide variety of items to share at a community table. We were taught to make empanadas and had wine pairing with each course. Laura and the rest of the staff were great and the food fantastic. This was our best experience in Buenos Aires

Whilst in Buenos Aires, if you are looking for a fabulous night out with amazing food, wine and fun, well this is it. From start to finish this night had success written all over it. The staff are a lot of fun, the Empanada folding was great, the food was outstanding as was the wines. The only issue was, we had to leave at the end of the evening.

I did a similar experience roughly ten years ago with this company and still had a fantastic time. Connected with new people from all over the world and ate delicious food. We made our own drinks and had a mini competition on who made the best empanada. Highly recommend this experience, the staff were extremely friendly and spoke English very well!!

The doors open promptly at time scheduled..(we arrived about 20 minutes early and had to walk around the neighborhood).....outside makes you wonder if you are at the right place...once inside, you are greeted and treated like family...table seats 12 and all are encouraged to interact...before long, all involved and having fun...wine flows throughout the night and staff works hard and with a passion for their heritage and country, as well as their food specialties....come hungry and with an open mind for trying new things...we didn't do the cocktail pre dinner experience and didn't feel like we missed out on anything....this evening was a great way to start our vacation and would highly recommend it.....Buon Appetito!
