What To Expect

Depart from your Los Cabos hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and drive along the scenic Pacific coastline. Escape the tourist crowds as you venture deep into the scenic countryside to Rancho Tierra Sagrada, an idyllic oceanfront ranch. Listen as your guide regales you with tales of Mexico’s colorful culture and history, admiring the cactus-lined roads and unique ambiance of the surroundings. 

On arrival at the ranch, gain insight into the Baja peninsula’s ecology as you enjoy a scenic stroll on a coastal trail. Climb atop an awaiting camel to admire the seaside scenery from a unique vantage point; venture over the soft sands on a 20-minute beach safari atop your camel. 

Return to the ranch and smile for special shots on your camel. Once your unforgettable moment has been captured on camera, settle into a comfortable seat overlooking the ocean for a flavorsome and fulfilling Mexican lunch. Treat your taste buds to the unique taste of traditional specialties, observing the ocean for humpback whales if you’re visiting between December and April. 

Then, pleasure your palate with samples of tasty tequila. Return to your awaiting vehicle to enjoy the journey back to a central Los Cabos location.

This was an awesome experience. From the beginning, our guide Jesus set a great tone. He was knowledgeable, engaging and fun. This was a worthwhile experience. Be prepared to purchase pics starting close to $200, but if you have a few people with you, it’s not bad for the package you get.

What a fun half-day trip. The facility is spectacular and the camels obviously well cared for and loved. After an extensive introduction to all-things-camel we took a ride on a gorgeous beach, followed by a lovely lunch (nopales and mole were fantastic) and a tequila tasting. Our guide Bill had us laughing the entire time with Dad jokes😀. Great excursion for all ages!! Thank you.

This is a private ranch that is out to take your money. $25 extra to get in the door, signs all over the place to not take pictures, even of your friends while you wait 40 min for them to take pictures of each person getting a kiss from a camel. Why? Because they want to sell you that picture. What’s the price? Depends on how much they like you and how big your party is. A drone footage for our group of 7 was quoted $370 and the couple next to us was quoted $170. I appreciated the food! Kinda silly they have you wear a helmet. You don’t have to in countries where camels are native.

I had an amazing experience on the Cabo San Lucas Camel Ride with Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting tour. Our host, Pepe, was fantastic - he was funny, attentive, and made the entire experience enjoyable for my family of three. The camels were well-behaved, and we made beautiful family memories with them. The food at the buffet was delicious, and the tequila tasting added a fun element to the experience. Although the drive from the Hilton Cabo Azul was over an hour, the time spent on the ranch, which was a little over 3 hours in total, was well worth it. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience in Cabo San Lucas.

Okay so boom: If you read what’s included & what’s not you won’t be blind sided by the entry fee of $25. We didn’t pay an insurance fee. THOUGH, if you weigh over 265lbs you may not be able to ride the camels (at least that’s what the paper said). Pablo was our guide & he was AMAZING. He was so funny; so be prepared to laugh along your experience. We got a lot of info about the camels after the ride. The pictures were actually taken very nicely. It was $99 to get all of the pictures that were taken of you digitally & then the price increased with other packages (physical pictures + digital etc). If your party is 2+ people it actually isn’t that much because you can split the cost of the photos. ALSO, to get the digital pictures, I believe you have to have an iPhone? Because they airdropped the photo to us. I’m not 100% how it works when someone has an android. The food was good & authentic (hibiscus water 12/10) the tequila tasting was good; we tried 5 different tequilas. Pablo & the other people in our group is what made our experience great. 10/10 highly recommend

Great Experience Except for one Detail

The camel adventure was great. Everything was well done - hotel pickup, check in, camel ride, lunch and tequila tasting. Our host was amazing and deserves a huge round of applause. The only downside to the experience was the pictures. We were not allowed to take any pictures that included a camel and depended entirely on the staff for pictures. And they did a great job. But the price of just two pictures was more than the cost of the entire adventure! I'm sorry, but this is price gouging in my opinion, and I heard similar comments from other people in our group. The sad part is that the work had already been accomplished - all the pictures were in the computer and could have been transferred to our emails or phones with a push of a mouse button. I strongly suggest they try a model where we pay $20 per picture or something in that range. They will make many more sales and quit wasting all the effort to have just a few people pay for their picture package.

This was an awesome experience. We arrived at the ranch by car which is about a 45 min drive from Cabo San Lucas. Directions were clear but a little tricky to get across the high way had to make a u-turn as we were headed north. Check in process was easy and the place was super clean. Staff was kind and funny. The camelback ride was about 15 min and was not during sunset. It was a before. The food was delicious with a buffet style and tequila tasting was on the beach with a bonfire for sunset. We also learned how to make corn tortillas and a small nature walk to learn about cacti. the camels were friendly -and I wore shorts which was fine but would bring a light cover up as once the sunsets it gets chilly. Last from around 4-7p. They took pics and there was an option to buy them digitally with drone videos from $99-169. They won’t let you bring your phones on the camels. Thank you to all The staff who do a great job taking care of the ranch!

While the experience was fun, the process and the company I personally would not recommend to friends and family! The company, Cabo Adventures, is more interested in taking your money than giving you a quality experience. They would not let us take out our phones to take photos so they could sell them to us for over $100 US dollars. There also was an hour ride to the camel riding, and this was not communicated before! If I were to do this again, I would want to know that it will take up to 5-6 hours of your day and the company doesn’t care about you but only their money! On the positive side, the employees were nice and the property was very pretty. Just be ware if you book this it will take a lot of your time, and may not be worth the money.

Jose de Jesus was an AMAZING guide! The tequila tasting was fun and buffet was tasty. Unfortunately, I was bit by one of the camels before the camel ride. My arm immediately welted up and is currently bruised with visible teeth marks.
