Would recommend it to anyone who intends to visit Cairo. Well informed Guide. What an experience. However, visits to papyrus and different oils shops there were no time constraints, whilst the excursions the guide would always give time limits and you would somehow feel obligated to buy the goods.

My husband and I decided to do a tour since we only had a short time in Cairo. Our tour guide (Sayed Mohamed) and our driver (Nasser) were beyond amazing! They were very helpful, and courteous, and went above and beyond our expectations. Sayed was also very communicative before the tour to make sure we were prepared for the day and confirmed pickup. In all of our travels, this was one of the best tour experiences we have had. So thankful we had this opportunity!

The private tour is very complete. It is worth taking a day just for that. Everything wonderful, from the pyramids to the museum, the market, the camel ride, all very well coordinated. The package came with a guide to accompany us but we ended up gaining a friend. Our guide "Mohamed El Wazir" is very competent with a knowledge that goes down to the small details and always clarified the doubts we had. He was super attentive, friendly, very helpful. I will always remember this tour as a great memory for the rest of my life. I recommend this tour to everyone.

Enjoyable but rushed in places - skip the bazaar part

Hajer (our guide) and Amir (our driver) were very friendly and accommodating - we were given a choice as to whether we visited the Egyptian Museum or the Museum of Egyptian Civilization for after lunch (we opted for the latter to see the mummies because it was more convenient for our personal travel itinerary). Hajer gave us as much time as we wanted at the museum so it was good not to be pressurized by time (although 90 minutes is more than enough unless you want to photography and study everything). You will be given the option to enter one of the Pyramids but I think this may cost a supplement - we declined due to claustrophobia. Hajer was more than happy to take pictures of us (and with herself since she's an amiable lady) at the viewing point. You'll then be assigned a camel (included with the tour) for a 20 minute trip and more photograph opportunities that your camel handler will snap away for you (of course this all leads to a tip of which you will be constantly reminded - Egypt is a big for small tipping country after all). The next part was really rushed - returning from the camel ride, we were only given 25 minutes to wander around the two biggest Pyramids and the Sphinx combined which was disappointing. If you want to spend more time, suggest from the outset of the tour you want to skip the Bazaar parts (Perfume, papyrus, souvenirs). However, commission is paid to the tour guides if they take you there so it's up to you how you feel about this - I tend to go but never buy anything (you can always get things 300% + cheaper elsewhere)

Overall we had a horrible experience. The guide was over 3 hours late; pickup was scheduled for 8am but the guide arrived at 11:15am. Our package included the following tours - 3 hours in museum of antiquities, 3 hours at the pyramids and spinx, 30mins camel ride and 2 hours in the market with all tickets inclusive The first stop was the museum. The guide seemed unaware of what our package included and asked if they had to purchase our tickets. The guide rushed the tour, providing little information about artifacts beyond pointing at them and calling out the name of the piece. At several stops, the guide sought to move as along as we tried to read inscriptions for more context or capture images and videos of interesting pieces. Next stop was the pyramids. Here, the guide purchased basic tickets and took us around the pyramids but not into any of them. When we queried them, the guide spun a bunch of lies while hastily trying to move us along. We had to remind the guide of the camel ride and they hesitantly booked a ride for a total duration of 5mins - riding around 500m and turning back. From there we went to the temple and spinx. Again, we were rushed along with the only context provided being place of worship, for the temple, and building the spinx after a dream. Exhausted from the heat, we had to request for water before it was provided. We stopped for lunch after this. Rather than proceed directly to the restaurant, the guide dropped us right into a shop, saying we should look at pieces while the tables were being setup - this was again untrue. From lunch, there were further attempts to get us into overpriced shops after which the tour was swiftly concluded.
