Ahmed was an incredible guide for our day trip! He was extremely well versed in the history of ancient Egypt and gave us so much more knowledge than we expected. Our trip with Mohammed was absolutely amazing. All the good vibes. He has been a tour guide for the past 14 years and it shows - he is knowledgeable and really skilled in hospitality. He takes amazing pictures too! The driver (could not get the name but I think it was Hamid) was an absolute sweetheart! Truly a great way to start our Egypt trip.

The tour by and large was very good. Two issues though: 1) the English of my tour guide was very hard to understand at times, and there were some dates/facts that he admitted he had fogotten,. 2) the driver who picked my up at the airport did not show me any proof that he was hired by Viator - the fact that he knew my name and what sites we were scheduled to see convinced me that he was ligit. But it would have been more comforting to see some sort of proof of who he was.

My tour guide, Hamby (Ahmad), was so passionate and knowledgeable about history, friendly and warm (I felt safe), conscientious, and thorough. He carefully explained the day and all we were doing, and he was generous with ideas for photos that would make more meaningful memories. I couldn’t be more pleased with him and this experience! I recommend him 100 times over.

Great day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and she spoke English very well. The pictures she took of us were very nice. The only negative thing was that we had the option to do a camel ride on the Giza platform for €20 each for a 30-minute camel ride and she said that that was a very good price. Later at the Sfinx we saw a sign saying the official rate is 500 Egp (€10) for 1 hour. The included lunch was delicious and before we stopped in shops (e.g papyrus factory) we were always asked if we wanted to see it or not.

Overall we had a good experience in the tour because the places we went are completely amazing! However we were not very satisfied with the guide of this tour. Although she was kind, her explanations were far away of what we expected, even more if we consider it was a tour for 2 people with enough time to explain much more. The level of Spanish was not enough to be clear but specially the attitude was disappointing. She did a tiny introduction of each place and then wanted us to go around and see the place while she waited seated in the shadow. She was supposed to be our guide for the next day also (Cairo) but we requested another guide (in this case in English). Fortunately, the company was easy to reach through WhatsApp and they changed the guide without problem. The new guide for next day was great and we were very satisfied. Overall I recommend the tour and the company. The guide can be a matter of luck but you can always try to contact the company if something happens :)

I would definitely recommend this tour. I went as a solo traveller and it was amazing to have the guide (Hosam) and driver. Hosam was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming, answering all questions I had. Would definitely recommend if you do not want to be part of the crowds.

Personally, I felt the whole trip is very rushing. I don't really get to feel the vibe there, I was brought to the next location after taking some photo without me getting closer to the Pyramids. What makes the whole trip worst is, at the end of the trip, I was giving 150 EGP as a tips and the tour guide said this is only enough for the driver, and he requested me to give him another tips too. End up I was paying 250 EGP for the tips. The amount of tips should be based on my personal experience and not by the tour guide. The whole trip only took 6 hours and not 9 hours as per the description. The tour guide also brought me to 2 places which are not listed under the description which are the perfume and hand-craft shop where the staff are very hard sell their products and insisting me to buy it. This had really disappoint me as I paid 95usd just for this. Personally, I would never repeat this again or suggest to anyone I know.

A Tour Through Ancient Egypt

Amira was our tour guide and she was wonderful! She took us to all the pyramids in Saqqara and Giza and also saw Memphis. We really enjoyed going inside the temple in Saqqara (I can’t remember how to spell it) she is so knowledgeable about the history of all the locations we toured. She was compassionate and professional to me because I was traveling with a sore foot unfortunately. She gave us time to explore all the places we were interested in. We loved having her as our guide♥️

Amazing sights, average experience.

Not bad - but not as long as they say - and quite sales heavy. We booked the ‘9 hour’ full day tour of the pyramids, saqqara and Memphis. This was due to start at 7 but we arranged to meet at eight since we were staying close to the pyramids. We got in quickly and went inside a pyramid (own cost as advertised), which was nice, then had a three minute explanation of the history of the pyramids, before being ushered back to the car. After that we were told that if we wanted to go to a good viewpoint, we would need to pay 1000 for the two of us to get there by horse or camel (not with them), and otherwise you are not ‘enjoying the tour’. That was it for the pyramids, so we headed to Saqqara by around 10, a little disappointed that we had less than two hours at one of the wonders of the world. In Saqqara we were taken in (entrance included as advertised) and given a two minute history explanation again. When we explained that we’d like to explore the site a bit and go inside the open pyramid (free)… only then did the guide tell us its included, but we want to go we should just walk around and he’ll wait by the exit of the complex for us. So we ‘guided’ ourselves around that. Memphis was a short (maybe twenty minute) visit where once again we were told to walk around ourselves and he’ll wait by the exit. Done with the sights by midday, we went for lunch. Here we had a buffet which was nice, but overpriced drinks were extra (no menu with prices is offered, you just find out when the bill comes) and the ice cream dessert was also extra. This restaurant also featured shops, waiters and toilet attendants all desperate for your tips. We got back to the hotel at about 1:30. 5.5 hours out of 9 - we hadn’t planned on having an afternoon to schedule as well! Be prepared that on the tour they will also offer to take you to the papyrus workshop - ‘no pressure’ (spoiler - there’s lots of pressure): as well as an oil/spice workshop and a rug making school. All of these just start to make you feel like the focus of the tour is to get as much money out of you as possible and to get back. It was a shame all together, because the sights are amazing. Our guide - Mohamed - clearly was knowledgeable and was polite. He just has quite a ‘rushy’ nature to him. The car was also very nice and the driver was safe. It just wasn’t great value with so many extras demanded to ‘fully enjoy’.
