This was a great tour. I saw all the major sights in Alexandria and got a good feel for the history and culture of the area. The pace of the tour was perfect - not rushed or lagging. Heba, my tour guide, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. She provided thorough answers to all of my questions. Her restaurant recommendation for lunch was spot-on, as the fish meal was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this tour and guide for anyone seeking to explore Alexandria in a day.

The tour guide and driver were superior. The catacombs and castle interested me most. The view along the water was something!

Unique Egyptian Experience

The catacombs were very interesting. Likewise the Roman amphitheater. Loved the citadel - the views of the city and ocean are breathtaking. I was very impressed by the modern architecture (inside and out) of the Alexandria Library. The library is also filled with modern Egyptian art - sculpture, pottery and paintings. My guide Samira was lovely and informative. She found a great restaurant with “authentic” Egyptian food. I had pigeon and it was amazing. Even the drive to/from was interesting to see the vast desert surrounding the cities.

Our guide, Heba, was amazing. She's an Alexandria native and clearly loves her city. She was so passionate and thorough when explaining the history behind all the different sites we visited. My wife and I had a great time exploring and learning about Alexandria. I would 100% recommend Heba as a tour guide to anyone wanting to learn about the numerous historical sites present in Alexandria.

Our driver for the day was very punctual and enjoyable company, and our guide in Alexandria was knowledgeable and friendly. We both enjoyed the trip which gave an interesting introduction to the history of the city. Lunch was OK and as expected was in a tourist orientated restaurant. A trip to Alexandria was a highlight of our seven-day visit to Egypt. Emo Tours Egypt organized this trip perfectly. Our driver Hassan was waiting for us in front of the hotel even before 7:00 am. A three hour drive was comfortable and easy. But we were especially lucky to get Amal as a guide in Alexandria. She was the one made this visit really special. Amal was not only knowledgeable and ready to answer any question about all sights and more but she was also flexible, kind and attentive. Our sister had difficulties with walking and Amal knew exactly when to offer break, shade or chair. She also took us to a beautiful restaurant for a lunch with a view of the East Harbor and the best fish and bread in the world. Thank you Amal for making this visit so memorable.

we would like to inform you that the tour guide which you sent for us in Alexandria cheated us. he showed us the pictures of good restaurant where we could get good food including fish,shrimps.calamari.The guide asked us to pay 800pounds for each person in advance in the morning itself. we told him we will pay at the restaurant but he insisted we have to pay and book early as it our company policy.so we paid him 4000pounds in advance but when we reached there he took us to different restaurant where he got is 1 small fish and 1 small bowl of rice. that's it even water we ordered and paid by our self.when we asked him where is shrimp and calamari he told its not fresh so he didn't order.when we argued with him and told him we will report this matter then he told us sorry and told don't complain as he has family.if we complain he might lose his job.when we checked with the restaurant they told the fish and rice which we ate was 200 pounds each person so total will be 1000pounds for 5 guests. but the guide took 4000pounds from us which is too much. kindly look in this matter as he took car parking charges also from us . one place told us to pay 50 pounds to security for no reason . we told him we buyed ticket why should we pay him . then he told ok leave it. we were not even given a bottle of water in this trip. kindly investigate this matter and take proper action so in the future no other traveller should be cheated, Thanks Murgesh Konar *971501502353

Good evening Today we went on your tour to Alexandria. Unfortunately, it was not a good experience. Our guide was very rushed not giving us time to appreciate what we were viewing. We also only saw 3 our of the 7 or so sites that were described in the intinary. This was very disappointing. Our guide was constantly telling me to give him a large tip at the end of the tour. He also said that it was best for him to make purchases for us, as he would get a better price. In fact, he purchased 2 drinks for us which totalled 150.00. I gave him 200.00 and he only returned 20.00 to me instead of 50.00. this is totally unacceptable. I hope you will action the information that I have given you. I will also advise Viator of our very bad experience

Amazing trip. It takes about 3hrs to get there. We had a nice driver, who even stopped, so we could get some coffee (it was early morning). Just after picking us up we had a phone call from our guide. What a lovely woman she is! So informative, extra nice and made sure we had enough of pictures 😂 Small by body, but mighty in knowledge (turned out that she studied on the University of Alexandria). Can't recommend her enough. Thank you so much!

I wanted to share my feedback on the recent tour I took with your company. Overall, the tour itself was amazing - all the sites were lovely and well worth visiting. Our driver Ahmes was excellent too. However, I must mention an unpleasant experience during the tour. I felt uncomfortable when we were taken shopping and pressured to make a purchase. Despite politely declining multiple times and leaving the store, I was guilt-tripped by the guide Waleid and felt compelled to buy an item I did not intend to. This situation made the rest of the ride with the tour guide rather unpleasant. We paid $200 for the full-day tour and, while we had a good experience overall, feeling intimidated to make a purchase was not something we expected. I believe there is room for improvement in ensuring customers feel secure and not pressured during such shopping stops. Despite the incident, we still tipped our driver and guide generously. However, I wanted to highlight this issue as it impacted the enjoyment of the remainder of the tour. I hope that future tours will be more considerate of customers' comfort.

A rather disappointing city

I was a little disappointed with the tour. It was a long drive from Cairo to a city that isn’t that interesting The catacombs were a bit underwhelming, the library is just a library (albeit very large and swanky) and the citadel was great outside but there’s nothing to see inside. We didn’t want to go to the museum. Our guide was very friendly and enthusiastic but his English wasn’t that good. So sadly not quite the day I was hoping for.

The driver was great. The sights were great. The “tour guide” talked very little about anything. Could have just read the descriptions given. The lunch was poor. We had to order extras to satisfy ourselves. I would have picked the option without included lunch and ordered everything ourselves.

A day to remember, combined with beautiful weather and the sea it was refreshing. One of the highlights was that we got to see the library and the Pompey’s pillars. We also got to try out some very unique places such as an ice cream shop that sells fresh gelato one of the best I’ve tried highly recommended. Our tour guide thankfully was amazingly and we got to have a great time with her.

Visiting the catacombs was the highlight for us, although the Citadel, library (which unfortunately was closed on Sunday) and the Roman amphitheater and baths were fascinating as well.

Beware of scamming with this tour. Firstly the car driver showed up late without any prior notification. In addition given the language being a huge problem, we weren’t able to communicate with the driver effectively. The tour guide then forced us to eat at the restaurant they had tie up with and we ended up paying $50 for food that was not even worth $10. We dint have any choice in this matter. Then obviously the tie up with local shops , that we had to oblige to buy something. Overall experience was really bad.
