Ingrid was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable. Best part of the tour was coming across a sloth carrying her baby across the park in Getsemani.

Dani was a wonderful engaging tour guide , she did a great job and I highly recommend this tour. On time and professional . The tour had many historical facts and little anecdotes that made the tour very interesting. We finished with a little Colombian dance which was fun! Highly recommend!

Extremely difficult to find meeting point!

Our big complaint is that the meeting point you sent us was an address that absolutely no one could pinpoint. We asked store owners, cops, etc. looked for a half hour. Finally a young lady suggested a big intersection—a block away from the Mall you named. We asked around and found a FREE walking tour and the man had our name. So we paid you for a FREE tour! There were many landmarks at the meeting point that you COULD HAVE GIVEN US! The tour itself was OK and we liked the guide. Just felt like we just moved from spot to spot and listened to his history stories. I expected more points of interest to be pointed out. Never went down one of the pretty streets you see in the pictures. We’ve had better free tours in other cities.

The tour was comprehensive covering several areas and very informative. We got to try a local coconut dessert and learn the champeta, a Colombian dance. And Dani was a phenomenal tour guide. Definitely request her!

This is a great tour for exploring the Walled City and Getsemani!!! Definitely worth the minimal cost The tour guide was awesome and one of the assistants waited for me when I stopped in a shop. My only suggestion for the COMPANY, (not the guide she was great) is to end the tour at the starting point OR provide written directions how to get back to the starting point. As tourist we got lost trying to make our way back to the starting point and it was night.

The location was impossible to find. Took me two hours walking around the city and asking people and including the police officers. No one could help me find the meeting point. I was very disappointed. I wish I could have a refund of my $12 because I ended up taking a free walking tour that afternoon and paid the same amount of money. Not happy.

Hi! The location is listed on the tour page and we also sent you the Google Maps location via Viator and WhatsApp. With the tour details we also sent our contact numbers and we never received a call or message from you to ask for further indications in case you need it. Even a Google search would have helped you as it is a common plaza in Cartagena, the Camellón de los Mártires. It was not our fault you couldn't find the meeting location, since all the indications were sent and it is unfair that you are able to even post this kind of reviews when you could have sent us a message or gave us a call (something you didn't).

We really enjoyed our walking tour. Our guide Legaxy was great! He provided a lot of information in an entertaining way. Would recommend doing this early in your stay in Cartagena, as it helped us gain an understanding of the layout of the walled city and Getsemani.

This was a good tour and nicely organized. I gave it a 3 star rating because of my inability to hear the leader. She was very nice, respectful of everyone and enthusiastic. She had a good command of English, however her accent and how fast she spoke made it difficult for me to hear. That is not her fault at all, I just couldn’t understand and neither could my husband.

Don't be scammed

DON'T BE SCAMMED My main issue is with the scam this tour is running (not to Viators fault but they should look into it). I booked thru viator whole others booked the same tour thru their hotel advertised as Free. When Wendy (who herself seems to be a big scam artist) started the tour she mentioned people are "welcomed to leave an economical contribution" and recommended $10. She also told me on the side "when I talk about the economical contribution , don't pay any attention to this" Of course I have no issue to pay, I booked the tour but what I have an issue with is The lack of transparency and the scam they are running. Additionally, at the end of the tour, Wendy recommends a bunch of places to eat, I later find out that she gets a cut from those places and they are absolutely AWFUL!!!!

As explained before the tour, when the details are sent, and also after it when you asked us, this is a SHARED TOUR. We have people from different platforms such as GetYourGuide, GuruWalk, Buendía, between others. Each platform has a different way to work. Some pay in advance, as it was your case, and others pay at the end of the tour. That is why in the tour details we specify "Remember: This is a shared tour, so you would take it with people that booked in other platforms. If you already paid for the tour, you don't need to pay anything else. Don't worry, our guides know that". So this is not a scam and is an experience approved by Viator. We don't work with hotels, only with platforms where you can confirm what we are saying, and don't have a profit by giving recommendations, we only give those because this tour is an introduction to the city. The word free is not use as synonim if gratuity, but of freedom. You have the freedom to join and leave the tour, and if it wasn't clear for you we'll improve to make it more clear. We'll take action because what you are saying is bias and even can be taken as a slander, specially when you threaten us to leave everywhere a bad review only because you didn't understand the tour. A must activity to do in Cartagena! Wendy was amazing, informative, funny, and patient. We got to city the old city wall and Getsemani, both beautiful. Bring hats, snacks, and water for you and kids.

We had an incredible experience learning about the history of Cartagena, Colombia. One of the highlights was discovering the fascinating story of Peter Claver, who was known as the "slave of the slaves" and played a crucial role in the abolition of slavery. It was eye-opening to learn about the connections between Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Panama, northern Peru, western Guyana, and northwest Brazil, and how they were originally part of Columbia. We particularly loved exploring the vibrant neighborhood of Getsemani, exploring the beautiful architecture m, statues and monuments. Our tour guide Daniela, did an amazing job explaining everything in a clear and engaging manner.
