Overview
On this small-group tour with up to 6 guests per vehicle and guide, travel in a comfortable four-wheel drive vehicle to off-road locations that you wouldn’t be able to access by bus or minibus. Venture from Kaliviani village to the spectacular Balos lagoon and Falassarna Beach. As an extra perk, a sunbed is reserved for you on the beach, and lunch is provided at a local restaurant.

Pick up is available 3 miles (5km) east from Chania up to 15 miles (25km) west. We inform the travelers about the meeting point and time if we know their hotel/apartment address.

- Confirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 3 days of travel. In this case confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability

- The tour is offered with comfortable 7 seater 4wd vehicles, with AC.
- Minimum drinking age is 18 years
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Our Balos Beach day with Nasos, our tour guide was exceptional! 2 beautiful beaches, I tried to upload photos! Lunch was delicious as well and oh yeah goats were cutie pies! One of the best excursions I have done totally recommend this! Nasos was knowledgeable, organized and loads of fun! Will be going back to Chania for sure!

We had a fantastic day on our tour to Balos and Falasarna beaches. Vassilis and John looked after our every need, we were very spoilt. The beaches were simply breathtaking in their beauty. Water refreshing! The lunch was delicious in the selected restaurant and the pineapple cocktail to die for! Would definitely recommend this tour be part if your Chania experience. Highly recommend: We went toward the end of the season and had Nasos (the owner) as a guide. He picked us up from our hotel in Chania and the Range Rover was clean and comfortable. Nasos gave lots of history and made it an informative and interactive tour. He brought us to the first beach where we got some great pics but didn’t play there. I can only imagine the chaos that beach would be during the busy season. He allowed us some private time for pics and to spend time alone. Then he drove us to the more secluded local beach and it was great. Pretty water, comfortable cabanas and he personally served us our ordered drinks.
We then at a great meal and the table was reserved and ready for us when we got done swimming. Felt like royalty.
Every part of the tour was carefully thought and and clearly communicated. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time! Definitely the highlight of our trip to Crete! This was a very well organized excursion, our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We had plenty of time to relax on the beach, and a swim in the most beautiful water we have ever seen! This was followed by a delicious feast of traditional Greek cuisine, including Greek salad, lamb, gyros, dessert and wine!
I would highly recommend this excursion!

We had the best day, didn’t realise at first but it was just myself, my partner and the tour guide on the trip, thought it would be a couple more people with us but this was great! Very friendly and knowledgeable guide who ensured we had a great time, getting to know us and our food preferences for the lunch at the beach. Incredible views and a lovely time at the beach too. Was well worth the money and then some!

Balos lagoon was such a stunning view, especially followed a “secret path” provided by our guide Vassilis. Also enjoyed the 3 hours at Falassarna beach with the turquoise water and delicious lunch. The sites are about 1h from Chania city center, learned a lot from Vassilis about the history and culture of Crete on the way. Highly recommend day trip!
