We meet on corner of Coleman Blvd and Mill street outside of the public parking garage/office. It is the only 4 story office building in the immediate area. There is a circular flower arrangement on that corner that I will be near with a grey hat and tour guide badge on! Any issues call 843-780-8557

I learned so much of the back-story of the Charleston that added so much to what seemed a simple "shrimping" story. I have a much better understanding the area and its struggles from the 1700s. Plus, his story telling skills made the entire tour ejoyable.

Captain Bryan is a great guide! He’s very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and especially Mt. Pleasant. We not only learned about the shrimping industry but also about Charleston during the Civil War as well as pirates. This is a very interesting tour.

Bryan is so knowledgeable about history (war, trade, the people, etc) and the surrounding area - we were so impressed!! We absolutely loved our tour. It was the perfect mix of learning about history, the beautiful homes, the area, the shrimp industry, and great local restaurants. Bryan is also so fun and upbeat. His tour is a must do!!! It was nice to also walk through the day and be moving. Thank you Bryan!!

Captain Bryan was the most knowledgeable person ever! He made the historical tour interesting even for our daughter. I would definitely recommend this tour to others. I don’t like walking tours very much but this one was not boring or tiring at all.

Captain Bryan our Tour Guide promptly met us at the designated area and was excited to share his knowledge with us. We were impressed with the depth of his knowledge and history of the Mount Pleasant area. This is a quality tour. Captain Bryan was raised in Shem Creek and is very knowledgeable about the history. As we were walking, he seemed to know everyone and they were all friendly.we learned a lot about the background of how the shrimping industry came to be in this area and a few things about catching shrimp (and crab too!). The only downside was the very hot weather, but that’s Charleston! We enjoyed it very much and recommend it. Bring a hat!

What an informative and neat tour. Captain Bryan really knows his history and is super personable and fun. We really enjoyed learning about the evolution of the shrimping industry in the Mount Pleasant and Charleston areas. We also loved the fish, shrimp and crab catching at the end of the tour...along with the awesome dolphin sightings. Although the shrimp did decide to jump as soon as it hit my hand, we all had a good laugh as I screamed! Highly recommend. We would definitely do another tour with Captain Bryan!

Captain Bryan really knows his stuff! He tied the history of the area to the start of the shrimping industry, and the challenges facing American shrimpers today. I now know how to look for the freshest shrimp when shopping. It might sound like a strange idea for a tour, but it was quite fascinating! I would definitely recommend this tour to learn more about the area culture.
