JUSTIN was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of interesting points and aspects from the Phohibition Erra . Locations of choice were great! Negative he used profanity quiet often which wasn't very professional. Justin was also extremely nervous or high on stimulates. Jumpy in the seat, constanly moving in seat and rubbing nose and hair. Over all was a good experience. We did enjoy.

The name is misleading - there were no speakeasies in Charleston (which is how our guide started the tour). We sat at three bars, ordered drinks (if we wanted), and the guide kinda spoke about Prohibition. Do not recommend.

Great Speakeasy & Prohibition Tour

My tour with Jamie and the Tidewater ladies was fantastic! Jamie is very personable and knowledgeable, and he relates the material in a very entertaining way. Unfortunately, two of the venues (Port of Call and The Griffin) had very loud, distracting music that made it somewhat hard to hear every word. But he did a great job of explaining some of the differences and peculiarities of Prohibition in Charleston and how they were handled. All in all I was very pleased. My only disappointment is that I did not ask Jamie to take a photo of me and the girls with my camera as I have no record of our group.

Our tour guide Dawn was awesome and knowledgeable. Though we were expecting to go to some actual speakeasies/cocktail bars . 2 out of three were just basic sports bars with decent stories. The description says we would be going to 5 or 6 places, when in reality we made it to three. It was good, just different than what we signed up for

While it was fun going to different bars and seeing Charleston it felt more like a bar hop then an actual learning about prohibition and speakeasy type of style.

Not what was as expected

This is not a speakeasy pub crawl. It is a narrated tour about prohibition with stops at restaurants along the way for a drink. First stop was not planned and the restaurant owner did seemed shocked we were there. If you are doing to have a pub type crawl you need to make sure the establishment is expecting a group of 15. The tour guide kept looking at her phone for notes but once she started the stories she was fine. The tour needs to be more organized and planned out. We met some fun people on the tour which made it worthwhile.

Good recap of prohibition and how Charleston largely escaped the worst of it. Don was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout. Even managing to keep control when another guest was rather verbose.
