Make your own way to the Charleston Maritime Center to board the Charleston Princess, your vessel for this 2.5-hour sunset dinner cruise.

Sail into the sunset and admire the views of Charleston while listening to live blues music performed by local musicians. Indulge in a tasty BBQ buffet that includes many dishes such as pulled pork, smoked chicken, vegetarian options, salads, and refreshments. Purchase your own alcoholic drinks from the cash bar, if you like.

This cruise is great fun as a standalone evening activity in Charleston, or as a way to get the party started before you delve deeper into Charleston’s nightlife on your own later.

The Charleston Princess is not ADA compliant, however, we are able to accommodate guests with wheelchairs for the most part. Entrance to the boat is via a 30-foot ramp, which varies in steepness depending on the tide. Once aboard, there is not an elevator to reach the salon where dinner is served and the restrooms are located.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 150 travelers

The skyline was beautiful. The atmosphere was calming. The food was pretty good. Our mixed drinks were some of the strongest I’ve ever had. The live band was awesome, and they were active with the patrons. Would do this again!

A Charleston Must-Do!!

Good food, and THE BEST blues band I have heard in a long time!! The views were spectacular, a wonderful trip and friendly crew.

Everything was acceptable but nothing special. The food was average, the adult beverages were expensive, the band almost could not be heard on the lower deck, the steps up and down were very steep.

The sunset cruise was just OK.

Initially there was some confusion about the type of ticket we purchased thru Viator. We had to wait for a supervisor to give the OK for us to board the ship. It seems our ticket did not SPECIFICALLY say WHAT TYPE of admission we had. VIP or general. We were allowed to board with the VIP and were given 1 free drink ticket. Friday, April 26, 2024 was a little chilly and quite windy. To stay a little warmer, we chose to sit downstairs. Doing so made it much harder to hear the band on the upstairs main deck. I was surprised they did not pipe the sound thru the sound system . On occasion the chatter and laughter of other guests made it hard to hear the music on the main deck. The barbeque was OK, however, I thought the coleslaw was excellent, but their mac & cheese was dreadful. The sunset was beautiful but there was no narration about Charleston's magnificent bridge as we sailed under it. Suggest taking the regular cruise tour and to skip this one. I do not recommend.

The food was terrible, mac & cheese over cooked was mush. My 2 granddaughters wouldnt eat it. The chicken was dead & the bq had no taste. Would not recommend. The music was good. I gave it a 2 for the music.

Sunset was beautiful. The band is really good. They don’t play a lot of the most popular blues songs but their original music is good. The BBQ and Banana Pudding is ok. I would recommend this cruise for a nice evening, meeting people and listening to live music.

We had a very enjoyable time on the Blues Cruise on 4/4/24! The band, along with the delicious buffet made the experience outstanding! Not to mention the beautiful Ravenel Bridge at night; just beautiful!

We had a girls trip planning and Maddie was our host and prepared our table for a Lady who had a Birthday day!! She was an amazing host!! Very energetic and polite!! She is amazing!! Thank younfro making use welcomed and accommodating us. She called and checked in on us and we greatly appreciate it.

We enjoyed the cruise around the harbor seeing the bridge and huge freighters/container ships. The staff was very nice and the food generally was good and plentiful. The consensus was the southern green beans were not liked too much. The only big turnoff was the price of the drinks. It shouldn’t cost over $40 for 2 cans of domestic beer and I small mixed drink. Plus the only beverage that was free with dinner was water. A cup of soda was $5. Other than that, it was a worthwhile trip.

Nothing was very memorable except the food which was quite bad. The band was quite good and that was the only good thing. Your drinks were way overpriced. Fortunately, the weather was good.

The boat was nice. But it was too dark out. The food was bad quality. The chicken too tough to eat. No flavor to the green beans or Mac and cheese. Pork had a lot of fat. Could have gotten a better dinner at a ground round for 1/6 the price. Could barely eat more than a couple of bites. Seriously they should be refunding for this.

We enjoyed the cruise but it wasn’t really a sunset cruise at 7 pm when the sun set shortly after 5. The band was awesome and the food was good. We wished there had been someone available to take a picture of our family. Overall a fun night but not exactly what we expected.

Wife and I have done dinner cruises before but she how much fun it was for our daughter was awesome experience. Food was really good only complaint is fifty dollars for four watered down margaritas was a little pricey. But plan on doing it again
