What To Expect

Make your way to The Field Museum, located on Chicago's Museum Campus. Admire the views overlooking Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago's skyline before proceeding into the stately museum, ticket in hand.

Decide where you'd like to start; there are more than 40 million artifacts to explore. Journey through 13,000 years of ancient history, from the Ice Age mammoth hunters to the temple builders of the Incas and the Aztecs.

Come face to face with 23 Egyptian mummies or SUE, the world's largest, most complete T. Rex. There are also other dinosaurs, woolly mammoths and giant sloths in the Dinosaur Hall. In the Hall of Gems, take a close look at one of the largest collections of Chinese jade in North America.

If you've upgraded to explore one or several special exhibits, you can also see those during your visit. Docents additionally host free tours daily.

Stay as long as you'd like, and enjoy an immersive and educational day out at one of Chicago's finest museums.

Museum hours are 9am-5pm with last special exhibition admission at 3:30pm and last general admission at 4pm.

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Can’t even give an accurate review as I wasn’t allowed to use the tickets at the field museum they would not allow me to access the voucher although I tried on the website and inside the app…..had to pay another $60 when I went there and didn’t get to use my tickets PLEASE REFUND ME :(

We got to see a 3D movie and the T. rex Sue. Our kids 4 and 5 loved it! Tickets were easy to use. We spent two hours at the museum but you can spend well past that if you have the stamina. Back of the museum has an awesome view of the city.

Get the all-access pass, otherwise you will waste a lot of time wondering what you are missing. This pass makes for easy entry. The Field Museum is an amazing must-visit; don’t spend more time than necessary waiting in line.

This museum is one of the best....anywhere! Just remember to give yourself about 2 to 3 hours to see it all. And also the cafe is an amazing place to eat while there. It is convenient and the food is excellent. They have lots to choose from, so there is something for everyone.

The Kings of Europe ticketed experience was fascinating! The layout of the exhibit was very well done and the artifacts in the rest of the museum were amazing..Sue never disappoints! We have two sons in their teens so this museum is a must for us when we visit. The only negative I can mention is the parking...there is minimal clear signage and we had to park near the aquarium and then walk over. Go early before 11am to beat the crowds for entry and parking.

fun interactive museum for kids or adults. ancient egypt was by far our favorite exhibit. map was clear and easy to understand, areas for food was nice! lots to see so plan for a couple hours there!
