The pick up time will vary depending on how many locations we have to go to pick up guests from. Don't worry if your hotel / motel is not listed we will collect you from there. Please add your hotel in your booking notes if it's not on the list. For all cruise ship passengers. We ask that you make your way into the Lyttelton on the shuttle bus provided off thre ship. We will meet you out the front of Super, which is a nice cafe in Lyttelton, at the bottom of the hill as to where the shuttle bus will drop you. Your host will meet you there

Christchurch tour

This was a really nice tour with a lot of Christchurch covered. I forget the tour guide's name (sorry!), but she even took us to a couple extra sights not listed in the itinerary. She took us to a nice lunch place that had things offered for everyone's tastes. The van was quite small for our group, but she apologized for that upfront and stated that the company is looking for different vans. It was also a little difficult to find her at the start due to where she parked and she wasn't holding up a sign or looking for us, but overall it was great and I recommend this tour.

Delightful and informative

This was a beautiful tour of Christ Church, with a little of everything. A tram tour with a wonderful and knowledgeable trolley driver, a beautiful and relaxing punt ride on the Avon River, lunch, and a spectacular visit to the gondola high over the city. Diana, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a small van and a small group. So nice!

I can’t say enough good things about this excursion! Pete was wonderful from start to finish, and hands down is the only Viator tour operator to be in touch with us with a welcome and loads of information about where to meet up, the weather and more. The trolley ride through Christchurch was fun and informative, punting on the Avon was so relaxing, lunch was fabulous and the gondola ride and views were incredible. Please do yourself a favour and take this excursion with Pete, one of the nicest people we’ve met in NZ.

Pete was extremely knowledge, informative, fun, friendly and catered to his clients. He was able to make a last minute accommodation and we also got to meet and spend sometime with his fiancé Diana, who was just as nice. I would highly recommend Pete and would not think twice to book him again.

We had such a wonderful day in Christchurch with Pete. He was so generous with his knowledge and his time. We finished the day feeling like we had a good sense of this fascinating city and its history. We saw parts of city that a normal tour wouldn’t see but they gave us more of an understanding of the impact of the earth quake. Thank you so much Pete. You are a very gracious guide !

Great way to see Christchurch

Pete picked us up on time and took us to a great viewpoint to see the city. From there we went to the gondola that took us to the top of a mountain. We went Punting on the Avon River which was great fun. We had lunch at a place that had 10 restaurants too choose from. Pete took our orders and brought us our food. Last treat was a trolley ride through the city. Everything was included and Pete did a great job of commentary while we traveled from place to place.

Gondola, Tram and Punt Tour

The driver Pete was very punctual and welcoming . The Gondola ride was enjoyable, the ride at the top had broken down so that ate into available time.The tram ride was okay but my husband had to stand most of the way . The lunch which was included was very good , we were taken to a quirky spot and allowed to choose our own lunch and drink. There was a great choice and my Thai was delicious. On the description of the tour though it said that we would have lunch in the centre and have time for shopping which we didn’t. The Punt ride on the river was very relaxing , unique, enjoyable and better than what I thought it would be. I had previously emailed Pete to see if we could fit in or be dropped off to visit the Antarctic Centre, he said he would try to fit it in of course depending on the time and the wishes of the rest of the group. On the last section of the tour we seemed to drive and walk around looking at various buildings (University) for approximately one hour to fill in time?, I should have asked if he could have dropped me at the Antarctic Centre. Pete was very knowledgeable and provided a good commentary but perhaps too much emphasis on the earthquake . Quite an expensive tour at $341 pp ( entry tickets approx. $100 and lunch provided incl. )

I sincerely apologise the day was not quite up to what you were wanting, I always try to accommodate everyone on the tour as best as I could. I feel the price for the tour is as fair as I can do with the activities involved, lunch, fuel, transport and guide expenses etc. I apologise again if this didn't quite live up to your expectations but I am glad we got around everything and still had a nice day. I will keep developing my commentary to suit all guests and experiences. I travel a lot around the world and try to take a city tour if I’m new to a city. Thanks to tour guide Pete, this was one of the best experiences I’ve had! He’s so kind, entertaining, and informative. He efficiently got us to all the sights but we never felt rushed. The little details like the water and candy were so sweet as well. Well done!

The best part was the great commentary by our fabulous guide, Pete. We learnt so much about Christchurch. The next best thing was the gondola ride which was scenic and fun. After the tour, we travelled around the city on the trams.
