A good place to see kiwi

Kiwi enclosure was v nice. Relaxing environment. We managed to reach here at 2pm from mt cook village. We only spent 3 hours here because it closed at 5pm

Though I’m not a lover of farm animals, my cousin was. The black swans captured my attention, they were beautiful but the ducks tend to follow the tourists for food. The place can be noisy with the feathery folks, of which some are uncaged. The kiwi enclosure towards the end of the trail was dark. One has to be very quiet to observe these creatures behind the fence. We waited near the fences quietly with other tourists. We spotted them in the dark.

Lovely place to spend half a day, learning about the different animals living in NZ. The space is well-designed and there are also places for kids to climb, explore and learn.

Seeing kiwis and being able to feed some of the animals. There were lots of baby animals when we were there which was lovely to see. One of our favourites were the otters.. super cute!!

It was a nice experience. The layout makes you feel like you are walking through the wild but I wish the wallabies had more free roam room. And the kiwis are in a dark place so if you have trouble adjusting your eyes to the dark you might not get to see one during your visit. Thankfully there was a nice man who spotted one and pointed it out to me.

Good memory with my family and enjoy the time, 2 hours. It was a good experience for kids, hopefully visit this place, if you have an extra time.

This is a lovely place where many of the animals roam freely - and they know a brown paper bag means food for them so you are very popular with the inhabitants! I spent about 2 hours there which allowed me time to follow the path and see everything. I enjoyed my time here and would recommend Willowbank to people of all ages and particularly those with children. I was a bit disappointed that even though I was guaranteed to see a kiwi the only one I saw was asleep in the nocturnal enclosure and I only saw it because someone pointed it out to me. Good to see the animals were well cared for.
