SEAPORT PICK-UP INSTRUCTION 1. There are several different ports in Phu My area (SSIT, CMIT, SP-PSA,...), please check with cruise staff to define the correct seaport for the meeting point. 2. You will receive confirmation of the detailed booking via WhatsApp or email before your arrival. 3. Upon arrival, call/message the hotline (WhatsApp) and let us know that you are ready to pick up. 4. After passing customs, going through the MAIN EXIT GATE, walk along or use a free shuttle bus to the mentioned meeting point (500–900 m). You can ask for information at the assistance booth. 5. An assigned driver (with tour guide) will be waiting for you outside with a name sign. 6. What to do if you can’t locate your driver? Please call/message the hotline listed on your ticket.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Nice kid gave the tour. Just not particularly knowledgeable. Not pleased at all. Viator needs to vet guides better.

This excursion was limited by the ships arrival and all aboard times. At the beginning of the journey I questioned the guide about return time and was told beck by 3 pm. During the day I reminded the guide of the timing. The trip from the ship to Hi Chi Minh city was 90 minutes. We wasted about 30 minutes in the city trying to reconnect with the driver at one stop. In the end the guide told me it would only take 30-40 minutes to return because it was the weekend. Then the guide abandoned us in the city and left it up to the driver to return us to the ship. It took 87 minutes to return us over an hour late. We still made the ship, but I was not happy.

A very hectic city.
I was good to have our own private tour guide to show us where to go.
But unfortunately although he was a trier our guide just couldn’t speak English well enough for us to ask questions or understand the detail of what he was saying.
The ‘luxury’ transport left a lot to be desired.
It was probably a nice car in its day, but not only was it tired but the seat belts didn’t work (and the way they drive out here you want a seat belt on).
The driver had two mobile phone on the go, one for his videos the other for his regular phone calls and text messages (sending and receiving!!)
Better value than the cruise tours but left us feeling it could be so much better.

Punctual pickup and drop off, very polite and welcoming guide, enjoyed the places we visited, were provided with one bottle of water, lunch was excellent and accommodating as one member had food allergies, only thing that was a negative and why we did not rate it higher was that the tour guide needed to be speaking clearer English, our guide struggled to understand some of our questions asked and we would of liked to spend more time at certain stops

The most memorable moment of my experience was when the guide never showed up. He did send a picture of him, and our named flsign, but it was from another port in Ho Chi Minh City. Their tour has refused to give me a refund. I will do all I can to tell people about Viator

Please kindly be informed that this booking was marked as "CUSTOMER NO SHOW"
Report:
1. Before the trip - we resend the details of meeting time and meeting point to passengers and got his confirmation (photo 1).
2. The tour guide and the driver had arrived by 09:00 AM and made evidence (photo 2, 3, 4, 5). Tour guide also tried to connect them via WhatsApp but there was no answer.
3. After immigration control, passengers called us at 09:45 AM and told us that no one was waiting for them. (photo 6)
4. We (operator and guide) actually tried to explain how to meet each other but passengers seemed not to care about that. After 10 mins, passengers were informed that they got another car and asked to cancel. (photo 7)
5. The guide was still waiting at the exit gate and left at 10:30. (photo 8, 9, 10, 11, 12).
Refund policy:
1. Transfer: no refund
2. Lunch: no refund
3. Excursion guide: half day - refund 20 USD
4. Entrance fee: refund 8 USD
Total refundable: 28 USD

Very informative guide, interesting to see the juxtaposition of the new sky scrapers with the old shops beneath. Little to long at independece palace, slightly less time here would have given more ti.e at war museum. Lunch was excellent.

We booked this tour at the last minute, literally a couple of days before our cruise ship arrived at Chan May, having not been inspired much by the overpriced excursions offered by the cruise company. This was a bit cheaper than the bus tour offered by the cruise ship, and we were expecting it to be a similar group tour with a bus full of other guests. What a nice surprise it was to discover that it was actually a private tour. Me, my wife, a driver and a tour guide. I don't recall seeing the tour described as such, so it was a bit of a shock.
Ahead of our arrival, the tour company made contact via Whatsapp, sending a picture of the meeting point just outside the port gate, which was really good - other tours I have done abroad, I tend to just have to hope that someone is holding an obvious sign up in the location that I am hoping is correct. This pre-contact made it a whole lot easier.
The guide was lovely, young and bright (Vi was her name) and spoke good English, and took us round the sights listed, giving good information along the way, and was generally really helpful. She kept a good eye on the time to make sure we were on track to be back to the cruise ship in plenty of time.
As for the tour itself, the Golden Bridge is a must see, and the cable car up the mountain has quite a view - sadly for us, we were very much inside a cloud, so visibility was pretty limited, but despite this our visit still felt worth it. Marble mountain was a great place to visit, quite strenuous even for youngsters like us, so I am glad that our visit was limited to the key sections of the site (which is quite extensive). We visited the Lady Buddha on the way back to the ship, and this was really worth a visit too (with the surprise that there were lots of monkeys living on the site who were quite used to humans).
We also got taken to a restaurant for an authentic Vietnamese meal which was really tasty (quite a lot of food really, perhaps too much - lots of separate dishes, but it was all very nice).
Booking and paying via the Viator app was really easy too.
On the whole, this was a really enjoyable excursion for us, well beyond our expectations, and I would definitely recommend it. There wasn't anything on this trip that I didn't enjoy (aside from the weather up the mountain which the guide obviously had no control over).
