Great dive outfit!

Another great day with Scubacao

Another great set of dives at Scubacao. I dove with them almost a year ago, so I knew them well. They are friendly, experienced, fun, and safe. There were five of us for the day, and our DM from Oregon, USA, was great. I highly recommend it. They made sure we didn't repeat previous sites. I did like TugBoat Beach as a dive. I'm looking forward to diving with Caro and JP again!

Great for All Experience Levels and Cruisers

We had a great time and saw amazing reefs within a few miles of the shop. This company is great for those on a cruise as they pick you up right near the ship and bring you back for getting your equipment. I would definitely say great price for all that was included. I only have two requests for next time, I wish the pressure gauges included depth as that was hard to not be able to view. Also, I wish there was a good way to see some wreck sites while there. However, this really is a great company; sometimes I have trouble equalizing and they were patient with me. Additionally they offered photography on one of our dives and their photography is extremely talented!

My husband and myself have not been diving since 25 years ago. Quincy and Marco were great people to reacquaint us with diving again. They were both kind, considerate, and displayed remarkable patience to make us ready to dive. Highly recommended for all. Thank you again for an amazing experience.

Overly cautious

The shore dives were okay, but we had better experiences in Bonaire and Aruba. The dives were short and shallow. We only used half our tanks and felt that we could have seen more.

Hi Neil, thanks for taking time in giving us your review. We do not go deeper than your dive certification level, so if you are certified as an Open Water diver, we will not take you deeper that 60 feet/18 mts, that you where train for. We do 60 min dives unless someone in your group had less air. We do small groups because of this, but maybe you where way better on air as the rest of your group and it can be than after 60 minutes you still had air left (maybe you are really good on air!). But we are glad to know that you still enjoyed your dives with us.

Scubacao 2 Tank Shore Dive

Scubacao is operated by a young dynamic pair from Chile, Caro and JP. I found them and booked the day before when our cruise ship changed itinerary at the last minute through Viator. They were extremely responsive and accommodating, including picking me up and dropping me off back at port after the dives. Their shop and gear was well organized and well stocked. After completing the waivers (online using supplied tablets) and organizing the gear we were ready. In my case I have a DIN reg with Yoke adapter. It was no issue to convert their tank to DIN and although I had not previously organized, I believe one of the other in our small group of 5 was diving Nitrox. For both dives it was a short and fun van ride with relatively short walking distance to the protected entry points. The Dive Plan was clear, and we dove the plan. The dives were epic with exceptional sea life. One of the best touches was the WeTransfer link supplied post dive to download the pictures and video. Highly recommended and will dive with Scubacao again. Paul C, Toronto, Canada

Great shore diving in Curaçao

Visited Curaçao on a cruise and arranged an offship dive with Scubacae on line. JP and Carolina (married and originally from Chile) own the business and speak excellent english. JP picked me up just outside the cruise terminal on time and tool me and a few others to their shop to gear up and sign the usual waivers. From there Carolina took me and two other divers to a private beach on the southwest side of the island by PU Truck. The location was all setup for shore diving and it couldn’t have gone smoother. Carolina couldn’t have been a better host and guide. The reef we dove on was mid level with depths that we traversed ranging from 40 to 60 feet. While one could have gone significantly deeper there was no reason to as the aquatic life was very abundant at the shallower levels not to mention colorful. The most notable thing seen on the dive was a three inch sea horse. Something not commonly seen anywhere in the Caribbean. Carolina was also nice enough to take underwater photos which she made available on line for our party. I will will certainly go out with Scubacao again the next time I’m in Curaçao and recommend them for all levels of diver.

We did 2 shore dives at 2 different locations. They provided transportation to and from the dive shop and the locations. All the equipment was great and well kept. Esmee was our dive master. She was sweet and friendly, very knowledgeable and went through all safety measures. She was great! We felt so comfortable and we had 2 great dives. We saw a sea horse, a barracuda, scorpion fish, angel fish, a sharp tailed eel and an eagle ray!!!

Enjoyed the new friends, beautiful coral, and hospitality of the Scubacao team. Though i had not dove in a while, they were great in ensuring we reviewed and understood procedures and safety protocols. I loved that they made us breakdown, inspect, and put our gear back together before diving. I recalled and learned a lot. Recommend this excursion for those divers visiting Curacao..

Fantastic 2 shore dives! Our dive leader Chris was great! Very safe, professional, and fun! He we were able to see many great reefs, fish, rays, puffer fish, eels, turtles, and even a sea horse! An absolute must do for any scuba diver!

Great time, great scuba team

This was a great excursion during our trip. Curasao has a bunch of places to dive but we really enjoyed these dives with Scubaçao. They were located super close to our resort (Sunscape) and we’re very responsive & easy to get a hold off. My favorite dive was at Director's Bay. We saw a lot of tropics fish and the current was great. Our instructor was super helpful and knowledgeable.

Divemaster save

The staff was very prompt, helpful and friendly. The operation is not 5 stars but adequate for those who want to dive Curacao, which isn’t the premiere dive destination of the Caribbean. I was trying out a new camera setup and dropped the camera at the entry shore point and Amauri the divemaster was extremely helpful to me retrieving my camera and assisting me with drinking my unfamiliar fins. This save was duplicated by my dive buddy John, who retrieved my red filter from the same location. All turned out well and we were well taken care of before, during and after the dive.
