Curacao’s limestone Hato Caves were used by indigenous Arawaks for shelter and by runaway slaves as a hideaway during colonial times. Today long-nose fruit bats call the cave home, while dramatic lighting illuminates its cave paintings, waterfalls, pools, Madonna statue, and formations with names such as the Pirate's Head and the Sea Tortoise.

Fantastic Experience
Our guide, Jude, was friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience what it was. The Hato Caves were stunning and we really enjoyed our time at Kokomo beach as well.

Kokomo
Overall the experience was very good. It started out a little rough because we were delayed by the operator and once we boarded the tour/charter bus we were then asked to leave the bus to get on a smaller bus/van that had very little A/C and no water for the guests as specified in the tour. It would have been nice to spend more time at Kokomo Beach.

Excellent adventure
Our driver/guide Bob was great. Our favorite part was swimming w the turtles. But it was nice to spend a little time at a beach and seeing the caves too. We even had time to walk around the shops near the cruise port before we had to board the ship.
