Punda is a must-visit for any Curacao visitor—tours often include stops at the Old Market to sample Curacao dishes such as iguana stew and fried red snapper. Make a stop at Kon. Punda is located in central Willemstad, to the east of the Queen Emma Bridge. Many visitors opt to stay in Punda to be near its restaurants and attractions. If you’re coming from outside the city, taxis and rental cars are easy to find on Curacao. Otherwise, check to see if your accommodation offers a shuttle service or is near a bus stop.

When to get there

Avoid the middle of the afternoon when the sun and temperatures peak. Take a morning stroll and grab an early lunch at the Old Market, or opt for an evening visit and grab dinner at one of the restaurants by the waterfront. Curacao itself is best visited in the dry months from December to April.
