Great trip
Lisa_C, Apr 2024
Great trip, really enjoyed the scenery on route to Montenegro. The guide on the bus was pleasant and informative. The guide Nada in Montenegro was lively engaging and full of fun

The tour guide is very responsible, if the time in Perast would be shorter that would be ideal. Nevertheless, the following things listed below make us unsatisfied with the overall trip. First, the total expense of the trip is not clear, we were charged extra 1 EUR traveler tax each and Kotor Fortress 15 EUR when visiting Kotor city; however, the website mentions that it includes "All taxes, fees and handling charges". If the travel tax and Kotor Fortress are excluded from the trip, it SHOULD be listed. Second, the tour is along with hotel pickup and drop-off. Pickup is perfect especially in the early morning, yet the drivers asked us to walk more than 550 meters from the meeting point when back to Dubrovnik because they were going to leave work. After back and forth argument, they finally decided to drop us off nearby the meeting point. It was quite unfair and unacceptable to treat joiners in different ways, everyone was eligible with drop-off without ANY argument, but my friend and I were not.
Poor experience
Mark_W, Oct 2023
Very poor indeed our pick up times were 0645am when the driver arrived at our hotel he said we were rather early.Never informed of a later pick. Then we drove to another hotel no body was waiting. Then drive to another hotel to pick up.Then drive back to the previous hotel to pick the missing people up.We then had to drive to meet the main bus where we had yet another long wait for people who had been taken to the wrong meet up point. Finally we sat off on our journey. Lots of confusion on the bus regarding people who who going on boat trips. We was supposed to have dropped people off at a point where the boat was going from yet again nobody was there. The driver then had a telephone call to say the captain was waiting. Then we had to make a detour back to the place of the boat departure point not good at all.We was out from 645am and we dropped at our hotel at 1845p. Most of the time we were sat on a coach 1 hour or so in Perast. We finally arrived in Kortor at 1215pm and had to leave at 1515pm.So I payed a fortune for this trip to virtual spend the day on a bus.The day trip was very badly organised totally a utter fiasco from the beginning to the end
Magic trip

Perfect pickup&dropping, Kindly&gently guide. Beautiful experience in montenegro I recommend to everyone who want to shortly visit montenegro in Dubrovnik
Disappointed
Robin_G, Aug 2023
I was disappointed with the tour. We spent way too much time sitting on the bus. After our pick up, there were three or four other pick ups, and the line to get across the border took two hours to get through. Once we got there, I enjoyed seeing the area, but I would never take a tour like that again. The woman on our bus who checked us all in, was very pleasant. The tour guide in Montenegro was terrible. I couldn’t understand her. She was overly dramatic and I left the tour about 10 minutes in. After we cross the border, going back to Dubrovnik, we had to make several stops again to drop people off. I think we ended up spending nine hours on the bus. I know you can’t control the border crossings, but it was way too much.
Crossing the border
Karl_E, Aug 2023
They should advertise that you spend 60-65% of your time in the bus crossing borders. The tour guide was a bit loud and annoying and kept shouting at random times instead of using the microphone on the bus. Also they should not club the Spanish and English tours together. It was quite annoying to hear the same thing multiple times
Beautiful country to visit
Susan_C, May 2023
Montenegro is so beautiful. I’m glad I took this trip. One word of warning, the border between Croatia and Montenegro was very slow. Took over an hour on the way back, we just had to sit there. Hate to think what it’s like in peak season. Take a book!
Beautiful country!

We had a lovely guide called Anet, and the journey isn't too tiring as it isn't that far away. Montenegro is beautiful and we wish we had more time in there than what it is given. Once arrived, there is a local guide too which walks us to some places, but in our opinion we'd like to be only free time, due to the limited time, plus you get to see them anyway! Perast and Kotor have their enchantment. We would go back there with time and climb the 1350 plus steps to the top of the fort and walk around the entire bay. Regarding to borders, bare in mind it can be quick or really slow. There's no way to know!

Beautiful scenery and friendly people on the bus tour. Professional tour guide and seamlessly helpful. Information provided all the time, specially when passing the border to Montenegro. Hot weather, also on the bus, but it was exiting all the way.
Lovely tour

Knowledge, helpful and friendly guides. Kotor and Montenegro really beautiful - lots to see and we’ll worth a visit.
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Dear Maria C, Thank you for your kind words, it makes us happy to know you've enjoyed our tour to Montenegro. Montenegro really is unexplored gem of Europe and we wish to show it to more people. We are proud of our guides, their knowledge is built over the years and they can surprise even us. Kindest regards from Dubrovnik, Adriatic Explore team
Not a tour.
Brittany_D, Jul 2021
This was a glorified taxi service. There was no local tour guide provided in Kotor, as indicated in the itinerary. There were no ‘comfort stops’. The driver just dropped us off in two cities with very little knowledge.. which lead to mindless wandering. The tour was also shorter than indicated. The group asked to stay longer in Kotor but the “guide” refused. The tour company didn’t bother disclosing the COVID entry requirements for Montenegro - I looked them up and was prepared, but unfortunately, two other people on our tour did not and were blindsided. We spent a good bit of time trying to get them sorted and they missed a lot of time getting tested before our return to Dubrovnik. It wasn’t fair to them or the rest of the group. Choose another tour company or rent a car and go to Montenegro on your own for the day. I wish I had.
Beautiful Bay of Kotor 5 stars. Tour no more than a bus ticket.
Heidi_R, May 2019
Montenegro's Bay of Kotor is spectacular and a must see if you are in the area. Unfortunately this tour was terrible. Guide provided little too no information on the history of the area, or any information beyond what time we had to be back at the bus. Which was repeated constantly. Like at least 7 times. Could have taken a regular bus and read a Wikipedia page on my own for a more enjoyable and informative experience.

The Bay of Kotor is a beautiful place as was the small village of Perast with lots of sightseeing opportunities as well as a guided tour in Kotor. You can also take a short boat trip to the 'Our Lady of the Island Rocks' for a few Euros. My main criticism of this trip is that you do spend a good two thirds of the 12 hours on a coach as it is a long drive. The stop at border control was quite a wait for us which meant we were stuck waiting to pass through for longer than we had hoped. Our tour guide was friendly and helpful though and hats off to the driver that drove us there and back.
Bien pero no mucho. Mejorable
Ral_P, Aug 2023
