Pickup details

The pick-up times are different for each location. Our reservations team will contact you with the exact pick-up time. Pick-ups for all accommodation and hotels within the Old Town will be in front of the Pile Gate. This is because the Old Town is a pedestrian area.

What To Expect

Get picked up at your hotel in Dubrovnik and then hop inside the air-conditioned vehicle to make the drive south to Montenegro. Drink in the views of the Adriatic Sea and the Dubrovnik Riviera and learn about the history and culture of the area from your local guide.

After crossing the border to Montenegro, twist and turn with the road, going around the large Bay of Kotor, and passing through charming villages along the way. Then stop in Perast, a lovely town at the base of St Elijah Hill. Consider taking the optional boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks island to check out the baroque-era church (at own expense).

The next stop is Kotor, situated in a fjord and one of the most eye-pleasing Montenegrin towns. Then take some free time to do some wandering—consider marching up the 1,350 steep steps to the San Giovanni Castle for an incredible view and photo opportunity—or sit down for a drink or a snack (at own expense).

Enjoy a final scenic drive along the coastal roads of Montenegro to end your day. You are returned to your Dubrovnik hotel.

Lovely tour of some beautiful parts of Montenegro. Our guide, Iwa, was fantastic! She provided a wonderful overview of the history of the region and maintained a happy outlook even amidst delays at the border.

Interesting history
Terry_G, May 2024
Very interesting experience to see Montenegro. Our host gave an excellent history and background for understanding the environment. You had time on your own in both places to do a variety of activities. So you could do what you want.
Great choice

Great experience, we had a few stops on the way to Montenegro for coffee and pictures, must visit lady of the rocks, the landscape is amazing from there. Not much information provided apart from the recommended restaurant which has lovely view.
Amazing day trip!

Great overall! Informative on the bus trip! Great stop in Perast and fun boat ride to the island. Even better stop in Kotor and a wonderful experience. We loved the timeliness and explanations!
Great tour! Our tour...
Nadia_S, Apr 2024
Great tour! Our tour guide Sean was lovely! The cities were gorgeous! Unfortunately on our tour, we were recommended to go to this resaraunt and the food came out slow and was not nice. We also sat together as a tour group and they would not allow us to split the bill which caused issues. We then only had a veeeeery limited time to explore the city. If yiu do this trip, I'd recommend sorting your own food
Amazing Kotor

Love the places we visited. Being able to reach the lady of the rock and explore Kotor. Restaurant with a nice view. Wasn’t able to reach the Kotor walls tho. And wish I had explored Perast more.
Great choice for a day trip to Montenegro
Sadie_P, Apr 2024
I had a great time on this trip. I had thought I booked a large group bus tour, so it was a pleasant surprise for me when I found that I was in a smaller group of only about 15 people. Everything went smoothly, and I was especially pleased with our arrival time in Perast as we were pretty much the only ones there. As we were leaving the town, huge hordes of other tour groups were just arriving. I also liked the amount of time spent in Kotor; I had enough time to hike to the top of the fortress, shop for souvenirs, and get a bite to eat without feeling too rushed. My only issue is with the boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks. Our tour guide took us straight to a certain vendor and told us the ride would be 10 euros per person roundtrip, acting as though taking this boat was our only option if we wanted to see the island. However, I think there were other options to take different boats (perhaps for a lesser price) available as well, so I did not like feeling a bit taken advantage of in that way. I would say the boat trip is a 'take-it-or-leave-it' experience, I was happy I did it but would have been fine not doing it as well. Other than that, I would say this tour is a must-do if you are in Dubrovnik and have an extra day. Montenegro is one of the most beautiful places I have seen in my life and this is a great way to easily get there!
Day trip to Montenegro

Beautiful drive to Perast and Kotor. We really enjoyed the small town of Perast and walking around old town Kotor. The only thing we didn’t like was getting around the cruise ship tour groups.
Great day trip from Dubrovnik
Victoria_V, Apr 2024
Had a lovely day trip to Montenegro. Iva, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and communicative. She made sure to keep us in the loop on things to expect ie: border crossing etc. I also learned many new things about Montenegro and Dubrovnik from her. The bus driver was very efficient and timely. Overall, it was great value for the price of the day tour and lots of free time to explore on our own.
Wonderful host & great trip
Syeshia_S, Apr 2024
The transfer was time and comfy and the driver explained about the pick up. Our friendly and knowledgable host Eva was great, everything was organised and timed to a T to get us where we needed to be on time and making border crossing as smooth as possible, she was also available for any tips or advice and kept us informed every step of the way. I enjoyed the trip itself with lots of picturesque views.
Excellent day trip with professional staff
JessicaH, Apr 2024
A really enjoyable scenic day trip from Dubrovnik. The driver and tour guide were extremely diligent and professional. We were the first group of tourists when we arrived at Perast which made the time spent far more enjoyable. Kotor Old Town was nice to visit. We arrived back in Dubrovnik before 5pm. All in all a great day!
Great tour

Very good guide and driver on time to everything nice tour for a day trip! Did drop us off in the rain at another stop suggestion set up a drop off even if you don’t make it in old town!
Beautiful Montenegro
Maryanne_L, Apr 2024
The tour was an enjoyable scenic drive of the magnificent bay of Kotor, and visits to the island of the Lady of the Rock, Perast and the ancient walled city of Kotor. This particular tour was of a group of approximately 50 and involved pick up and drop off of the tourists as well as managing the border crossing. This was efficiently managed though there was some delay in the pick up. Given that the group was large information about the country and the sights were provided on the bus and we were free to explore the town and sights on our own.
Nice day in Montenegro

Montenegro day excursion from Dubrovnik
Dominique_R, Apr 2024
Excellent bus driver and tour guide. Enjoyed the scenic landscape and visiting Kotor. Suggest visiting this area during spring or fall as it can get very crowded and hot.
Alright.
Alex_L, Apr 2024
It was…interesting. The transportation was a little sketchy at first: a white van. Since I was the first person to get picked up, I thought that I was scammed and was going to be kidnapped. But, the tour guide was nice. The only thing was that I didn’t really learn that much about Montenegro because the tour guide didn’t provide any history about the place. All he did was complain about how Montenegro sucked…which isn’t what I paid for. He was more of a driver than a tour guide. He would drop us off at different places and would let us go to our own devices for a set period of time and then drive us back, which kind of defeats the point of a tour. Otherwise, the sights were amazing. I recommend doing the hike up to the fortress overlooking Kotor. Just know that it’s a 10 hour trip because some of that time is spent driving to and from Montenegro. Also, keep in mind that the border crossings can take a few hours if the traffic is really bad. I got lucky with the crossing, but that was only because I did this tour on the off-season. Overall, I think it’s a roll of a dice to see if your tour guide actually does the “tour” part or not. But, the sights were amazing in good weather.
A beautiful part of the world-go on this trip!
Brian_D, Apr 2024
Pick up from hotel on time in a lovely vehicle with a lovely guide.Loved all parts of the tour and was really pleased with the generous amount of time allocated to the stop -off points so that we could really make the most of the day doing our 'own thing' without being restricted to a rigid timetable.
Town Kotor
Alok_K, Apr 2024
Trip to Kotor and Presat from Dubrovnik was short pleasant drive 🚗. The Beautiful town of Kotor is a walled city , surrounded by the beautiful Adriatic sea. Water was pristine clear , beautiful alleys. Plenty of souvenir shops, restaurants, gift shops for every budget The mild beautiful Mediterranean weather makes it a must visit
Great day trip
Kimberly_C, Apr 2024
Beautiful location. I especially enjoyed the trip to the Lady of the Rock Church. Both towns were easy to get around and offered great dining and pictureques views. Only draw back is the number of cruise ships in the port - too many people!
Go ahead
Aigars_M, Apr 2024
Worth every penny, full day of positive vibes, excellent job from driver and guide, highly recommend.
Day trip to Montenegro
David_M, Apr 2024
Fantastic day tour, which I would highly recommend. You stop off at two towns; Peresat and Kotor. Both places are pretty and fun to explore. The stop off time to look around was adequate and i didn't feel rushed. I would recommend carrying cash as some places didn't accept card
