    Enjoyable trip into the desert

    Thoroughly enjoyable experience in Doha - and one of the most enjoyable of the entire holiday. Left at 6am and saw camel racing, Zekreet and the Richard Serra art. Had Sajid as a guide who was knowledgeable and made the trip engaging. Would recommend

    Pretty cool experience to see the formations and the statues. The trip takes about 3-4 hours to drive from one side of Qatar to the other!

    Nice and relaxed private tour. Good to see more of Qatar than only the big city. We had a very good driver who take enough time to show us the beautiful inland’s of Qatar.

    A perfect short tour of the West of Qatar with Shabir. We were able to easily customize the timing and tour to my preferences, especially to get to see the Serra Installation at sunset. Shabir was an excellent guide and driver, and he even took much better photos with my iPhone than I could! Thank you for a lovely afternoon / early evening visit.

    Great way to see the natural wonders of Qatar

    Our guide Ali was very nice, personable, accommodating and communicative (via WhatsApp). While we drove to the sites he talked to us a bit about his life in Doha and the history of the Qatar. At each site he took photos for us and made sure that everyone was safe. (Note: Film City was shut down so was not part of the tour -- unsure if it's still closed or if it's been reopened.) After the tour Ali recommended some good places for us to eat lunch in the city and he drove us straight there. Highly recommended!

    Ali, our tour guide, was not only informative about the country and its history, but his tour of western Qatar was able to show us some of the hidden gems found out West. He spoke clear English, Arabic, and Urdu/Hindi and was able to shed light on some of the facts surrounding the sights. Overall a great experience, thanks Ali!

    Khalid was an amazing guide! He really made the trip fun and taught us a lot about the local culture. We loved seeing the Richard Serra sculpture right at sunrise, climbing up rock formations, and seeing more camels than we’d ever seen (and watching them run!) at the racetrack. We even stopped along the way for some delicious Karak which was a perfect start to the day. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to take pictures and explore the desert. Our goal was to see a part of Qatar beyond Doha and get off the beaten track, and this West Coast tour did exactly that. I highly recommend. I also recommend going directly to Qatar Golden Adventures for booking, as Viator itself made it very difficult to confirm the trip details (ended up confirming through the live chat feature on the tour operator’s website the night before). So, give Viator a pass, but definitely do this tour with Qatar Golden Adventures and Khalid!
