It was a beautiful and fun tour. Our guides handled the group of about 40 people very well. Our driver was helpful and informative. He was flexible when we informed him of our interests and needs and adjusted things as necessary.

My boyfriend and I were...

My boyfriend and I were running late and missed our tour group.. so they came and picked us up and gave us a private tour anyway. They went above and beyond. We had such a good time, had so much fun! William and Antony went out of their way to make our experience incredible!!
Nice time

The Falls and hike were great! No need for the cigar and store stop. Guides were great, happy and helpful.
Waterfalls and guides were great. Skip the extras!

Fernando and Claudio were excellent. Fernando was very informative about his home and history. Claudio was very diligent in his picture taking and the results show. The waterfalls were exciting and fun. I even did one of the jumps. There was a little congestion but it was the busiest week. The guides we are funny and in great spirits. I don’t k ow how they do it everyday. Lunch was a little out of the way local restaurant and we were the only people. And there was an uncomfortable drunk guy they kept shooing away. The farm plantation owner wasn’t too interested in showing us his plantation. It seemed only a stop to make you buy stuff (and I get it- they rely on tourists); the same was true with the chocolate factory. A quick demonstration and expensive purchase with a cashier who didn’t make eye contact. I could have skipped the last2 stops - maybe even lunch too.
Beautiful and it is going to be one of the best days of your life!!

We were so scared and excited all in one, never being in the Dominigan and knowing we wanted to do something fun and memoriable we chose the waterfalls. I was taking a huge chace because I was taking my 5 year old and my almost 75 year old parents, and a few teens in between! My parents were afraid the climb up the mountain would be too much for them, but the guide assured me they would be fine and they would take it slow for them. It worked out perfectly and we are all so happy we did this, it was the best time, great guides, beautiful views, cool water, and the meal was delishious. The pictires they take of you are worth every penny. I would do this over and over again. If you are thinking about it, just say yes, you will be so glad you did. Make sure you eat a good breakfast, you will get hungry on the climb up. This is going to be something we cherish and talk about the rest of our lives!! Can't wait to visit again!!
Busy but so much fun.

Great excursion. So much fun!! Very busy. Thankfully just our 1 ship was in Port. Ran out of time for Chocolate Factory. Not sure why we started off so slow.
Great weather, great team, great time on Dominican Time
Gregg_D, Mar 2024
Good communication from the on-site team got us off to a good (and on-time) start. Pick up was surprisingly easy… just outside of the cruise terminal. The bus was comfortable and drinks were cold. The team kept things moving despite a very crowded (Spring Break) day at the National Park. Tour guides were outstanding and the natural sites were naturally stunning. Lunch was delicious. And we were back at the terminal with 30 minutes to spare. This trip runs on “Dominican Time”—factor that in when booking. But it’s a great time in the Dominican. My teens (13 and 16) and preteen (10) loved it. A highlight of our Caribbean vacation.
Best excursion in all of Puerto Plata

AMAZING STAFF AND CREW! The staff and crew were the highlight of this tripppp! Literally saved me from drowning. The walk up the mountain is CRUCIAL. I would not recommend this to anyone who is not active in their everyday life. Very important to carry water as well on the hike up. There is also a very long wait for the waterfalls after you're done with the hike but it may just be because of the season I visited in. The waterfalls were beautiful as well and well worth the wait. You will see a lot of waterfalls on this trip. You'll have someone who will take your pictures throughout the trail but I would recommend bringing your own phone in a waterproof case. The pictures are cheap and very worth it. Afterward, you will go to eat at a local restaurant and the food was GOOD. Very home-y feel and nice area. I would recommend 1,000x to book this excursion you won't regret it.
It was fun, but kind of the slides were kind of scary

Fernando, Francis, Pepito and Anthony were fantastic.. !! We are seniors, 77 years and 80.. we did the jump in the beginning with a lot of support from them.. the slides were exciting.. how cigars were made was also very interesting and the food at the family restaurant was very tasty….would highly recommend them to anyone.. It was a memorable experience for sure..!!
Great Deal!

Damajagua was an incredible experience. Our cruise arrived a little late to the dock, but we were able to contact our tour driver and he was willing to wait for us and the other members of the cruise ship. We appreciated this so much! However, our driver was not super friendly and overall seemed like we were more of an inconvenience than guests on the tour. The photographer Francisco was incredible though! Super smiley and friendly and kind and did a great job with the photos. When we got there, you had to rent a locker (between $2-$10 based on the size and they only took cash). Make sure to wear Chacos or something like it, otherwise you will have to rent water shoes for $2 when you arrive. The waterfalls and rock slides were so fun and the scenery was stunning. I wish we had more time with the waterfalls. There was a small hike to get to the waterfalls, but it was broken up with several opportunities to rest. The hike was difficult though, probably 100 steps in total if not more. We also got a wonderful Bahamian lunch that included soda as well! The chocolate factory was less of a tour and more of a chocolate tasting with an opportunity to buy more at the shop. Not super impressed with the factory tour, but the chocolate selection to purchase was great. Photos and videos from Francisco were $45 (Cash or PayPal Link only) and the photos turned out incredible! Overall, this was an excellent experience, especially for the price, and I would recommend.

Fun on the falls
rbdiver, Feb 2024
A great day. Nice drive to the site, seeing some countryside. We had to wait at the waterfalls for the zip liners to arrive. The waterfall slides were fun. Our group arrived early to avoid the crowds. It is recommended to remove glasses for the water tour. We wore eyeglass crookies (holders) and had no problem. It good to see what you are doing. The photographer took lots of pictures to offer at the lunch. The problem is you need cash or PayPal or similar payment. No credit card. The lunch was enjoyable. We stopped at a local "farm" to see how cigars were made. The 3-4 hr tour took 5 1/2 hr, so plan accordingly.
Waterfall madness!

This was fantastic. My wife can't swim but she still loved it. I would do this again and again. For the record there were people in their 70s doing this and loving it
Fun in the 7 waterfalls excursion
Deanna_P, Jan 2024
We loved the 7 waterfalls where we had fun sliding down the natural rocks slides. There were also a few waterfalls that we also had the opportunity to jump vs slide. I would highly recommend this excursion to friends.

Exceeded Expectations by far!!

We can't say enough great things about the top notch service and especially Johnathon our tour guide. They truly made the experience far more than amazing and it exceeded our every expectation. Highly recommended
Try this fun tour.

Excellent small group tour. Felt well taken care of. Definitely worth booking with Viator. Very personable, comfortable and a feel of the local kindness. The falls are an exciting challenge. If anyone was 7nsure of their safety, Carlos was excellent at taking care of them. The lunch provided was superb, especially the fried chicken. We went to small kitchen for lunch and given assorted drinks and beer and an assortment of local foods that were fresh and delicious.
Great experience!

Super fun tour! Short walk out of amber cove and everything was easy, the tour guides took care of everything. Be prepared for a 20ish min hike to the waterfalls and back but it’s not overly strenuous. Fun jumps and slides. I’d recommend to do the jumps! Food was good and great mamajuana and cigar making tour. Would definitely recommend!
A Must Do!!
Jane_S, Nov 2023
Yes! Yes! This was a fantastic excursion. Very strenuous climb to the falls. We are 70 and 75 but did fine. We jumped, slid and swam. Water was chilly but clean. Lots of other tourists. Booking through DR Prime is the way to go. We had 6 in our group with our own driver (Calvin) guide (Bernie) and photographer (Pepeti) who took hundreds of pictures. Cost of all of the pictures was only $50. All three were fun and personable! The lunch was very very good as was the PR beer. We didn’t get to go to the chocolate factory (not sure why) but we didn’t really need it. Beware!! The ground is rocky, our water shoes were not thick enough. Wear tennis shoes if you can. Pick up/drop off are a good 25 min walk. It is NOT on the pier. Have to go outside the gate and meet them on the main road (left of the gate). They held signs with our name so easy to find after the walk.
So glad we did it, but too crowded!
Heidi_N, Nov 2023
Great guides, delicious lunch, fun experience, but way too crowded when our small group joined about 60+ others at the waterfalls with other groups. Felt like rushed cattle being pushed through each jump or slide.
