Saona Island (Isla Saona) is the Dominican Republic's largest coastal island, clocking in at 15 miles (25 kilometers) long and three miles (5 kilometers) wide, with a population of little more than 300. Part of the National Park of the East, this tropical paradise features plenty of photo-worthy white sand beaches, swaying palm trees, and turquoise waters.
Very well ran excursion from pick-up to drop-off. Organized, clean, friendly and informative. The time spent at each stop was ample and Saona was beautiful. Top notch.
Definitely a great day trip. Took 2.5 hours just to get to the boat head's up! Also if you want to snorkel that won't happen until the very end of the trip and make sure you tell your tour guide you want to do it. The natural pool was very beautiful and we got some great pics! The food served on the beach was very good. The beach area is beautiful! Bring some cash for super cheap suveniors!
We went on Sunday, Nov 12, 2023 and everything was more than we expected. It was a 10+ hr day and not once were we bored. Every stop was so much fun and every one of the hosts on the boat were exceptional!! Couldn't have asked for better people to spend the day with. Thank you for a fantastic trip.
I had a good time at the island but when I got back to my room me and my friends were terribly ill due to the food. We think more specifically that it was the meat. We had diarrhea, nausea, headache, fever and vomiting. I would do the tour again but will warn everybody not to eat the food. It wasn’t very tasty either.
Our tour guides were very friendly. Showed up on time to pick us up to the hotel. Excursion experience was amazing. Saona Island was absolutely breath taking. Crystal clear waters.
This place was beautiful the tour guides where all awesome my boy Alberto the man the swim in the natural pool was the best and Soana island was amazing
Don’t forget your pina coloda

A:Yes, there are people who live on Isla Saona in the area of Mano Juan. The small community of people in Mano Juan includes around 400 people total. The fishing village features little hut homes and no regular electricity provided from the Dominican Republic—only limited electricity provided by a few solar panels.
Q:How do you get to La Isla Saona?
A:If you’re vacationing in the Punta Cana area, you can drive from Punta Cana to Isla Saona in about 1.5 hours. You do not need Saona Island tickets to access the area, so you can visit at any time. If you don’t have a car at your disposal, the best way to get there is to book a Saona Island excursion that takes you there—either by car or by boat.
Q:What should I wear to Saona Island?
A:If you’re exploring any beach of the Dominican Republic, and Saona Island is no exception, you’ll want to dress comfortably. You can wear your bathing suit under comfy clothes with flip-flops or sandals. You might also want to bring a hat and reef-safe sunscreen to protect yourself from sun exposure.
