The tour guy Amjad with RAH Tourism ensured that we got all the experience that this tour offered. He even went above and beyond to answer a request that was not on the tour by getting approval. This tour was the last day of my stay and I am so glad I pushed through even though I was sooo tired.

When we booked it said our party size was 15. This means we would have been in a 15 passenger van or something with space. This was not the case, we were picked up in a small 7 seater suv where we were crammed in the back two seats. A family of 4 with two little girls was sharing the three seats in front of us with no seat belts worn or a car seat for their youngest (both illegal in Dubai). We went to Abu Dhabi and was dropped off at all stops and told when to meet back up. We stopped at a run down place where they tried to sell us carpet, this was not listed on the tour and I think they get kick backs for stopping. Only two places worth going were the Mosque and Louvre, which we did not have a lot of time at. We felt like we were sprinting through the louvre and still didn’t get to see everything in the hour we were given. Two of the other party were throwing up on and off and when we stopped for fast food for our “lunch stop” food was brought back in the car and placed right behind the two baby seats we were jammed in, between that smell and people puking in bags it was not a good experience. The car seats were stained and the one seat had a plastic piece that kept falling off. The biggest disappointment was not being able to see places being pointed out since we had a small window to view out of, so doing drive by “viewings” we didn’t even get to see. This all was stated in many reviews and we should have read them and listened. Not a tour I would recommend or ever book again.

Worst tour guide ever and bad itinerary !!!

In the whole itinerary, there are only 2 attractions worth visiting: the Grand Mosque and the Louvre, both are really amazing. We recommend them strongly ! The other attractions (Heritage village, Miraj museum) are totally useless and are just places to sell to tourists. At Miraj, as soon as the seller realized that nobody in our group would buy anything, he promptly terminated the visit. Our package included a tour guide but in fact we had a simple chauffeur, he came to no attractions, he just waited in the car. He even sent us the entry tickets to attractions instead of coming with us and making sure we were ok to enter the Grand Mosque and the Louvre. On the highway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi (both ways), the chauffeur (Raj Abdul) was driving way too fast (up to 150km/h) and way to close to cars in front of us. While driving, we was texting at the same time. At the end of the trip, he even had a car accident with a taxi, so we decided to get out of the car and walk the last 1km to our hotel. We were picked 45 minutes late, and spent too long in the non relevant attractions, at the end we arrived back to our hotel almost 2 hours after the scheduled drop off. A better itinerary would be to visit only the Grand Mosque (not in a rush, so for 2h at least) and the Louvre (not in a rush, so for 3h at least). If we would have to do this itinerary again, we would prefer to hire a private chauffeur who would drive us to the 2 specific attractions. We have been using Viator day trips in many other cities in various countries and we have never been disappointed by its service, except for this one which was almost a disaster.

Great experience. This one excursion Will take up majority of your entire day, so I don’t suggest to make other plans. Got to experience seeing the mosque and other palaces in Abu Dhabi. Our tour guide Ali was amazing and was our driver to each location listed for the trips included on this mosque excursion. Note that if you have a small party the car you’re riding in will be shared by others.

Tight cramp truck. Would not recommend for anyone over 5’8. Only front seat gets a nice view. Middle row is small. Back seat sees nothing. Missed location. Barely drove by the palace. It was in the far distance. Driver had attitude and was rude towards the female passenger regarding time. Driver threaten only the female to leave if she wasn’t quick returning while others returned later, so she didn’t go explore the stop. She was too ashamed, scared and sad.

This tour company is a scammer. They fill up a mid sized SUV with seven adults for a 6-8 hour day trip. A tour bus would be a lot more comfortable than this. We ended up walking away after the third customer pickup where they attempted to fill up the clown car with the 6th customer. The entire day was ruined. You can’t charge the same price for a customer sitting in the front passenger seat and another customer sitting in a middle seat without any arm rests and no leg space.

Worth it if you’re looking for a day trip from Dubai

The trip is overall a good trip and I would recommend it to anyone who only has a day to visit Abu Dhabi from Dubai. It’s fast paced and you get to see all the sites. The driver knows his way around and gives you tips. Be aware it’s actually a whole day trip, almost 12 hours, depending on where you stay. Having said that, a little more time at the Louvre would have been ideal, like 2 hours. Also, it’s important to note that the new rules require people to be dressed in the correct attire to visit the mosque, as they don’t lend any scarfs or garments to cover oneself. Our guide Mohammad, was kind and helpful, and stuck to the timings he gave us.

Amazing Mosque

Husnain, our tour guide gave us a lot of history and information during the 1 hour 20 min ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi. The Mosque was absolutely huge and with amazingly beautiful architecture. I did the full day tour, but I would have been fine with half a day tour of just the mosque, the rest of the stops were just ok. Do the full day tour if you’re interested in the museum.

The Mosque is a must! Everything else is a personal preference —could be hit or miss. Expect for a loooong day. I’d say like 10hrs so keep that in mind when planning your day. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable.

The day tour to Abu Dhabi was worth it! Highly recommend it if you are in Dubai visiting. We really learned a lot from our experience and also because we had a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide-Sunny (that’s his nickname he said). As he drove, he continuously gave us facts and important information about everything we saw. Very informative tour guide. He was also very friendly and professional, which made our visit to Abu Dhabi more enjoyable. Btw, the tour is long so be prepared.. we were picked up at 830am and got back at 830pm. We even asked to skip the Ferarri World as it was getting late and everyone was tired. Sunny was very accommodating with our request.
