We pick up from any hotel in Dubai. Please indicate your Hotel in the comment section if not found from the options. Pickup from a residence or an apartment is possible if booked in a private vehicle. Pick-up times will vary throughout the year based on sunset times. Please use the following schedule as a guideline when planning your day and preparing for pick-up October – February: 14:00h-15:00h March – May: 14:30h-15:30h June – September: 15:00h-16:00h A confirmation of your exact pick-up time will be communicated to you via e-mail or a phone call around 13:00h on the day of the excursion. Should you not hear from us, please contact us.

What To Expect

Begin your experience with a pickup from your central Dubai hotel. Settle inside your air-conditioned minivan and relax as travel into the desert.

Meet your camel convoy and enjoy a leisurely ride on a camel. Enjoy the views as your camel lumbers across the sands: you soon understand how these hardy herbivores provide ideal transport for nomadic Bedouins. 

Then, arrive at a Bedouin-style camp inside a desert retreat owned by the UAE royal family. The compound stands amid rolling dunes and is illuminated by flame torches, giving it a truly Arabian feel.

As the sun sets, watch a falconry demonstration. Admire the speed and elegance of the falcons as they answer their handlers’ commands and swoop for lures. 

Stroll into the dunes for photos of the sunset and enjoy a range of traditional desert activities inside a rustic-style Arabian tent. Sip Arabic coffee, get a henna tattoo, and learn to make Arabic breads during a step-by-step demonstration.

Next, settle at a low Bedouin table for a 4-course feast of typical Emirati dishes with sodas and mineral water. See the Itinerary for a sample menu.

Following dinner, choose to smoke a shisha (Arabic water pipe) and watch a display of traditional dancing and music under the stars.

Return to Dubai in your minivan and end your experience with a hotel drop-off.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Great camel rise…pour departure arrangement

The camel ride, which lasted about 55 minutes, was fantastic. They space different groups far from one another so it seems like we are alone with just our set of camels and our camel guide. Our camel guide also took lots of pictures for us with our phones, which was great. The dinner was also very unique and good. We took off one star because our driver, who brought us to camp, was not taking us back. We got re-assigned to a larger group for the ride back. Unfortunately for us, some members of the larger group decided they wanted to stay as late as possible which meant we had to wait quite a while to leave and were among one of the last groups to leave the camp. They should have asked us whether we wanted to stay late or leave earlier and tried to accommodate an earlier departure for us with an earlier group. This was a sour ending that would have been easily avoided with better planning on their part.

The whole trip was just memorable. So well organised from being collected from the hotel by Jay from Platinum Heritage who was so informative about different things on the journey there and whilst we were there. The food was incredible and a beautiful sunset just put the icing on the cake. Would highly recommend. A very professionally organised day which was so much fun, especially the camel ride.

One of the highlights of our 10 dates spent in Dubai! Totally recommend the 45 minute camel ride & the falcon demonstration was great as was the food which was plentiful! Some people chose to stay overnight which I’m sure was a nice experience. Would recommend this outfit!

Danish and Shaquelle. I could not ask for better guides. Patient, made us feel at ease and catered to our every need. Shukran to them both. I especially enjoyed the Camel Ride, sampling the foods and watching the entertainment. Nothing was rushed.

Top drawer from start to finish! THE highlight of our time in Dubai. The camel ride was wonderful... the falconry amazing... the feast was incredible (come hungry - so many amazing dishes!)... and the stars breath-taking. Better than all that tho - all staff were warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Logistics crisp all around. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Mehdi was our guide and he was fantastic! We were not expecting such a well put together tour. We honestly didn't know what to expect. We thought we would just do a desert safari and end with a snack at the end and be on our way but everything from the camels being so sweet and friendly to the camp sight at the end with all the coffee, food, drink options being so well thought out, we would absolutely recommend this activity. We might even do it again the next time we come back to Dubai! Overall, great experience!

It was a wonderful experience. I enjoyed everything about this excursion. The camel ride was serene and quiet. The picturesque landscape was amazing. The dinner and it’s interactive shows were fabulous. Our guide, Javon was kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend this excursion.

I like to experience culture and traditional activities when visiting a new country. And this is what you get on this tour!! The experience started right from the pick up. Ravi picked me up from my hotel on time in a nice clean air conditioned car and made sure I was comfortable. From there we headed into the desert, all the way identifying and explaining certain points of interest. I had chosen the camel ride for my tour, so once we arrived there was no time wasted. We were given our water bottles and head scarves and we were on our way. Beautiful and amazing experience with the sun going down over the desert. Lots of beautiful photos and wildlife spotting. After the camel ride, was the falconry show with Summer the falcon and a delicious juice and tea. Then it was time to jump into the ranger rover to camp for our night time entertainment and amazing 4 course meal! The food was fantastic and the entertainment was great. All of the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. This tour is certainly well worth the money and your while!! A traditional Bedouin experience!!
