What To Expect

Your 'Game of Thrones' tour of Dubrovnik starts as you meet your guide at Pile Square in Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take off on your walking tour along the historic streets, stopping to check out locations used in the filming of the uber-popular HBO television show, adapted from George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' epic novel series that spans many years of brutal fighting between the noble families of fictional Westeros.

The show is shot in locations throughout Europe, but Dubrovnik, with its red rooftops and stunning coastal location on the Adriatic Sea, is one of the most recognizable as King’s Landing, the capital of the realm’s seven kingdoms. Trace Ayra Stark's footsteps to see where she hid from the Lannisters on the streets; walk up the city walls that were attacked by the Baratheons; and check out Lovrijenac Fortress, an 11th-century castle perched high above the sea, aka Blackwater Bay, which is featured in battle scenes, most prominently the Battle of Blackwater.

You also see a softer side of things as you visit parks and other open spaces used to film scenes set in the countryside. Throughout your tour, listen to commentary from your guide about the various characters who have come in and out of King's Landing, including the three main families—Targaryens, Baratheons, and Starks. Your tour ends when you return to your start point in Old Town.

Trsteno Arboretum Upgrade: To enhance your 'Game of Thrones' experience, select the upgrade option to visit Trsteno Arboretum, one of the oldest arboretums in Croatia. Travel to the park by minibus at the end of your walking tour to discover this additional filming location, used as King's Landing's palace gardens during the show's third season. Explore thousands of trees and exotic plants, and admire Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque details while you hear more about the War of the Five Kings. Your tour ends with drop-off at the original starting point in Old Town.

In the Scene - GofT Tour

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who told us lots of interesting facts about the filming of the series. He had a folder of photos which made it easier to identify exactly where we were standing and what scene took place. Aside from GofT, he also providedi information about Dubrovnik's history. We were entertained!

Our Game of Thrones tour was canceled within just a few days prior to the event taking place. We were unaware as we did not have Internet access and we’re waiting at the point for over half hour. They did not answer our messages and will be requesting a refund.

Our tour today was with Sara Bundalo! It was a rainy start which was perfect as we were the only 2 on the tour so we had a private tour with her. She was very warm bubbly and welcoming and we had a very enjoyable 3 hours with her exploring the sites and learning all about the Game of Thrones series sets and also plenty about the history of Dubrovnik. It was very informative and really special to meet some one from the area who’s family lived through the war and she was also an extra in the series of Games of Thrones which was ace as she had a lot of inside knowledge. Highly recommend this tour. We kept our wall tickets for tomorrow when weather is sunnier looking forward to that. Thankyou again to Sara! We wish you all the best for your future xx

Tea was the most amazing guide. She was funny and had some amazing insights and information to share. My wife and daughter had never watched the show but now are so interested after the details and sights that were shown on the tour. I would recommend this to anyone. 3 hours was just right in term of length.

What an experience! It was pouring rain but that did not kill Katerina’s spirits at all. She was knowledgeable, passionate, and excited to be there. She loved sharing the story about her city as a backdrop during the show. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to book!
