Peaceful but a bit dissappointing

We got to see a swallow tail kite nest with the baby bird in it. The trip was peaceful, but the guide was non stop talking about himself. We didn’t see much in terms of wildlife.

I really loved this trip. It was such a peaceful and calm afternoon. Relaxing and fun at the same time. We saw dolphins and many birds and we learned quite a bit about the history of the area as well.

Lovely small group tour of the Everglades

Lovely boat trip with Dan our guide who was very experienced. Only four of us on the trip - boat was very comfortable. Highlight was definitely the dolphins surfing behind and alongside the boat - so so close. Briliiant. Also saw some other lovely birdlife - ospreys, hornbill, giant heron. Very enjoyable two hours. Start of the trip was outside a closed cafe/restaurant but there was a fabulous cafe round the corner - Havannas - great coffee, fab food and live music when we had lunch there after our tour ended.

Unforgettable wildlife experience

Our guide, Ray, was very knowledgeable, and knew all of the right tricks to get close-ups of the dolphins. There was also plentiful bird sightings on the boat trip, including Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Pelicans, Cormorants, Terns, and more. It was definitely worth my time!

Nice scenery, but not an eco tour as described

The sunset was beautiful but there really was no eco tour or narrative as part of the trip. It was just riding around the mangroves looking for wildlife. For the cost, I would not recommend.

Our family of 4 took the 2-hour tour with Dan and had a wonderful time! We saw lots of wildlife and our highlight was seeing so many dolphins! We counted over 30, and many were mom and baby pairs.

Best Everglades Tour

Our guide was Captain Dan who was a superb and knowledgeable tour guide. He knew every species of every tree, bird and animal to the infinitesimal detail. There wasn’t a question that he didn’t answer and knew the exact answer. His expertise was beyond impressive. We saw so many dolphins and saw zillions of horseshoe crabs that he pulled the boat into the shore and turned two upside down and showed us the difference between the males and females (males have 2 pinchers and females have 4). We learned about trees that hated the salt water and learned how to adapt by desalinating the salt through their branches and trees. We had an absolute blast and I would recommend this tour and Captain Dan to anyone

Wonderful nature tour through around some of the islands

Our tour Guide Don was great--totally knowledgeable about the area, the flora and the fauna. He was pleasant, fun, patient as well. We saw all kinds of birds, nests, and Calusa shell formations--centuries old! The 2 highlights were seeing a huge flock of white pelicans resting on the beach of one of the islands. I've seen them at Ding Darling but never as close as we came without disturbing them and having dolphins visiting us and performing! Worth the price of the trip! Again, I've seen dolphins before but never so close. Don led us in singing Flipper's them song and a great time was had by all--Paula, Chatham, MA

We thought we were going on an Everglades tour, but it did not seem to be that. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, so he made it enjoyable and interesting. But it seemed to be a tour about Ospreys. And we have plenty of Ospreys in NY.

Yes, Ospreys are fairly widespread throughout the America's. Most migrate. A pair nesting the Chesapeake valley was found to be wintering in the Amazon.
