Overview

Explore the Everglades with an expert guide on this full-day kayak and slogging (walking through water) excursion. After a brief orientation, select a single or double kayak and hit the water. Follow your guide through mangrove forests, keeping your eyes open for alligators, sawfish, manatees, dolphins, and sharks that are sometimes seen in the area.

This all day adventure definitely did not disappoint our family! Garl is an amazing wealth of knowledge and provided our group with history and insight into the Everglades. The slogging through a cypress dome was an experience that will provide stories for a lifetime. The kayaking adventure through the mangrove trees led us to gator sightings. Would highly recommend this experience 10/10!

We saw baby alligators!

Garl is a gem. He took us through river waters and explained a great deal about the ecosystem. Kayaking through the mangroves was just beautiful and serene. We saw a few sharks later in the day, but the best part was the magical sunset. Then when we thought the day was over, we decided to go on a night watch for snakes and alligators and ended up seeing several baby alligators. This was the icing on the cake. Garl went above and beyond to make our experience a good one despite it being a chilly, cloudy day. Highly recommend.

We had an incredible time with Garl, who was very knowledgeable about the Everglades and familiar with the area. Felt lucky to get to actually get INTO nature - walking around in the water was super cool! Although the weather did not cooperate with us, Garl still made the tour memorable and we learned a lot. Slogging beats jogging

I enjoyed the slogging the most. It was more intense than I expected. The water came up to mid thigh w/ a lot of submerged obstacles. A walking stick was offered by our guide. I didn’t take it. Take it if you don’t have good balance. The experience was magical & beautiful!

This trip was amazing. Mike was our guide and he did an amazing job. I would highly suggest wearing long pants, shirt and water shoes. Also bug spray and sunblock are a must. The entire trip was full of knowledge.

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had on a guided tour. I'm always nervous that experiences like this will be a sort of watered-down version of what they could be suited to all tourists. This was nothing of the sort. This tour was a fantastic in-depth way to experience the everglades. Our guide Mike had a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna of the everglades and took great photos that were a nice unexpected touch. We were able to see snakes, birds of prey, crocodiles, alligators, manatees, and even a juvenile lemon shark hunting in the shallows at sunset. I could not be happier about this experience. The only issue I had with the day came from Viator. The ticket I was sent said the tour started at 9 am when in reality it started at 12 pm.

The most amazing experience ever! Garl was awesome and so knowledgeable. We slogged through the Everglades seeing alligators, snakes, vegetation and feeling like we were explorers. When I thought it couldn’t get any better we kayaked seeing birds, insects, mangroves, manitees and crocodiles. Best adventure ever. Thank you Garl!

Mike was an incredible guide! It was a such a fun and educational experience. I love that it was an up close and personal trip through Cyprus groves and mangrove and the wildlife was everywhere. Seeing the sunset on Florida bay will stay in my dreams forever.

A must do activity in Everglades. The guide knows the mangroves area so well and cares so much about the eco system and the animals! We kayaked in flamingo and nine mile pond. Flamingo was a bit windy but we saw so many birds and two crocodile! Nine mile pond is the mangrove kayak I always wanted to do! Highly recommend this tour!

Great day with Chris, hiked in the Mangrove forest which was a bit eerie give the overcast sky and rain (saw spiders but no gators or snakes) and after a snack had a great freshwater paddle.

Fantastic day of sloughing and kayaking with wonderful identification of birds, gators, crocs, sharks. Our guide, Mike, was incredibly knowledgeable, personable and an excellent storyteller. The slough into a cypress mound and gator hole was a special peek into a part of the Everglades that few people get to see. If you have only one day to experience the Glades, do this! We spent 5 days and this was our highlight.
