Make your own way to the helicopter base to board your helicopter. After meeting your pilot and listening to the safety briefing, buckle up for an exhilarating flight and take off over the Fox Glacier Township.
Soar over the Fox glacier, gazing out over the snowy landscapes, frozen rivers, and rugged peaks, then swoop low over the Franz Josef glacier, enjoying dramatic views of the glacial cliffs and icefalls.
Finally, touchdown on a snowy mountaintop and feel the thrill of walking along pristine snow in an area inaccessible to hikers or land vehicles. After posing for photos against a stunning snow-blanketed backdrop, jump back aboard for the return journey.

Weather delayed us but the eventual flight at 5pm was outstanding especially the snow landing on the glacier. Well worth the cost.

We were unable to do the trip due to poor weather. Could. Or wait for a rescheduled flight. Could we have a refund please? Very disappointed

I booked in advance of my holiday after doing some research on different tours. I chose the tour involving both Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier with a landing which overall was 30 minutes. The company were organised with messaging and emailing me in advance and ensuring I’d received my ticket. On the day, the staff were very nice and organised, they did a safety briefing. You can’t take bags in the helicopter and need to wear what you want as any extra jackets etc have to be left behind or worn. They didn’t have lockers but did offer to store my bag behind the desk. The tour was amazing and the pilot Tim was so nice, very informative and offered to take photos of us when we landed. I would definitely recommend this tour, it’s well worth the money, the sights are amazing! We had perfect weather, but the tour can be cancelled if the conditions are bad so make sure you book it at the start of your stay in the Glacier region (then it can be rearranged if cancelled).

Although my party of two got to sit in the front, the space was very tight which made it extremely cramped for the whole ride. The front space should only sit one adult or two small children. Paying full price and not getting a comfortable ride is not ideal.

We loved the helicopter ride despite the fact that we only did half of our originally booked trip (The weather was not very cooperative and we could not fly over Franz Josef). It really was the highlight of our honeymoon.The pilot was very informative and nice. The helicopter is for max of 5-6 people, which allows for a nice view from any seat. Highly recommend this company.
