I would book Taka again if I could. Taka was kind and patient with our family especially the kids. Instead of bringing us to popular and crowded vantage points to see mount Fuji, he would bring us to less populated areas to do the same. We liked walking on the lake side where the kids could touch rocks. Also follow a small trail to see caves formed by lava rock. And sacred shrines. Using a notebook and pictures on the phone he would explain the history and context of things. He also has paddleboards if thats what youre after. Strongly consider paying for the extra hour, theres plenty to see.

This tour exceeded our expectations! We booked this tour to celebrate my husband’s birthday in hopes we would see Mount Fuji from different perspectives. Funny enough, it was snowing/raining most of the day and Mount Fuji was nowhere to be seen. However, Taka, our tour guide, was so amazing that we didn’t feel we missed out. Taka arrived promptly and picked us at our hotel. When proceeding to the first tour location he inquired about our travel plans. Noting that we did not have the best strategy to arrive to our next location, he made suggestions and helped us book our bus tickets for an easier/faster trip. Given the inclement weather, we had not packed adequately. Taka was already 3 steps ahead of us and provided waterproof boots, socks, and umbrellas!!! That alone deserves a 100-star rating. The tour never felt rushed. Taka was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was very patient and allowed us to take multiple photos and videos at each location. When the tour time was almost up, he insisted in taking us to another location and did not want to charge extra. This experience was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! It is evident that Taka loves his job. The day after our tour, he sent us an email to check in with us and let us know that Mount Fuji was visible! He also included a video and photo from our tour. Such attention to detail! Taka and this tour will have a special place in our hearts.

Taka is an AMAZING guide! He responds promptly to all questions or concerns. He is friendly and knowledgeable as a native from the Fuji area. He is kind and considerate to everyone's needs in the group. Taka took us to the absolute best views of the glorious Mt. Fuji and we had the whole area to ourselves. His vehicle is immaculate and comfortable. Taka was willing to share insight about the life in Japan and the history of the region. We all had an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. Absolutely no regrets booking this tour even though it was snowing the two days we were at Kawaguchiko. Taka is a warm and friendly guide who brought us to amazing spots that made up for the lack of the view of Mt Fuji. He even provided boots for us because of the thick snow! Highly recommend that you book him to show you around on your next trip here 💯

Taka gave us such an excellent tour. Although mount fuji was slightly cloudy, it didn’t ruin our trip. Taka had planned so much other stuff for us to do, all with no tourists / other people! It was so relaxed, he let us get food and eat in his car on the way, and he explained everything so well. He answered all of our questions, and it was genuinely an enjoyable day spent with him. Unfortunately our buses being delayed meant our tour was cut short - but would definitely come back and do this tour again! If I were you - I would pay to do the longer tour with Taka as we would love to spend more time with him / see more of his hidden gems!

Although it was cloudy and Fuji was obscured, Taka took us to beautiful sites that brightened up our morning! We had a lot of fun learning about the history and unique nature of Kawaguchiko.

Absolutely amazing trip around the Fujikawaguchiko area. Taka was an exceptional guide who explained the sites in detail. Some of the best money ever spent! Hidden spots with great beauty for those who appreciate nature and this gift of a world we all share. 14yo Daughter, 12yo Daughter and 11yo boy all catered for. Highly recommend for all. When I return I will be booking another trip with Taka.
