      Great English speaking tour

      This was one of the best experiences we had during our trip to Japan, Shawn spoke fantastic English and gave us many tips and tricks as well as information about the area we were staying in. We got to see great sites, and everything was tailored to us. He was very attentive, always checking if we needed a rest or stop off. The passion he has for his job is incredible, constantly checking in to find the best view of Mount fuji.

      Our tour with Shawn was exactly what we wanted- it felt like a good friend showing us around the best places, with expert knowledge of how to navigate around to avoid crowds and touristy spots. Shawn clearly has a passion for travel, food, and photography- the pictures he took of us are amazing!! And the lunch was so delicious, including my husband’s who is vegan. It was so fun to cook on the grill by the lake. Shawn was always so thoughtful and checking in with us on anything we needed, like bathrooms or specific things we wanted to see. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

      One of the best experiences we've ever had! Shawn is an amazing guide, he was very attentive and took us to see some amazing views of Mount Fuji were it wasn't so busy and then took us to see the waterfalls. He also made us Lunch over looking over Mount Fuji, which was delicious and the views were stunning! Shawn took so much care to make sure everything was perfect and that we had a good day, there was no rushing we could take as much time as we wanted in each place, Honestly we couldn't recommend this tour enough! Thank you Shawn for such a good day it is the highlight of our trip to Japan!

      What can I say but we were fortunate enough to have Fuji-san show its grand appearance on a beautiful clear day. I thought viewing Mt Fugi on a bullet train was enough, but it’s way better if your sitting at a camp sight and taking you time to soak in and just admire the beauty of Mt Fuji. If you want a tour with viewing Mt Fugi with no tour bus in sight, then this tour is for you. Shawn was very accommodating. Not only did he drive you to great locations to get a great view of Mt Fugi without a group of mass tourists, he also is a great photographer and cook. The seasoning to the food was just…Oishii!! We also got to see waterfalls. Thank you Shawn for a great day and for sharing a locals perspective of such a beautiful sight.

      What a fantastic experience we had on this tour. We did this tour and then went on to a cruise of Japan. We did many great tours during this time, but Shawn’s tour was absolutely the best! He gave us so many beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Shawn knows this area extremely well and he took us to multiple locations that would only be known to locals, with not one tour bus in sight. He gave us choices on our tour, and one of those choices was to go to a small town that had a beautiful display of cherry blossoms, well before anywhere else. Shawn also did everything he could to accommodate requests. For example, my husband admired Shawn’s baseball cap, and Shawn then took us to the store that sold them. You would never get this kind of personalization from a regular tour. The lunch was fantastic! Shawn had prepared the food, and then cooked it for us in a location that is so beautiful it is difficult to describe. The food was delicious and the view outstanding. Everywhere we went provided photo opportunities, and we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day for our tour, which made the views even more breathtaking. Shawn told us that this was his dream job, and that was apparent throughout the day. His knowledge of, and love for, the area made our day with him most memorable. We highly recommend this tour. Don’t hesitate to book, we know you will have a fantastic time.

      Shawn was a great guide. His English is really good and he was able to adapt to what we wanted to see. He was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the local area and extremely friendly. He even gave us recommendations to a ramen shop afterwards. The money is really worth it. We were able to see Sakura, caves, lakes, everything we wanted.

      Shaun was a wonderful host - my partner and I had the best day with fabulous views of Mt Fuji - I cannot recommend highly enough. We were very fortunate to have seen with snow on the ground from several angles - restaurant was well positioned and very welcoming. Shaun judged the pace required very well.       We had a great tour of Mount Fuji with Shawn . He took the most amazing pictures. The visibility wasn’t great at the beginning of the trip, but Mount Fuji decided to show up toward the noon hour. We had a wonderful lunch. Thank you for the wonderful tour!

      A few weeks ago, my wife and I booked Shawn for a tour of some areas surrounding Mount Fuji. Shawn drove us from Tokyo to Lake Kawaguchi. It happened to be the Autumn Festival that day. Shawn proved his local knowledge knowing where to park quickly whereas the other tourists were stuck in traffic. We had great views of Mount Fuji. Shawn is an excellent photographer as well. He took us to his favorite spot — Lake Motosu. This is where we had AN AMAZING VEGAN LUNCH. He cooked it for us. We were not expecting such an awesome meal. Honestly, this was one of the best meals we had during our entire stay in Japan. Shawn is a great tour guide. He’s knowledgeable and his English is very good. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Don’t hesitate. Book with Shawn.

      This was such a special and unique tour, and Shawn gave us a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Beautiful views of the mountain off the beaten path, and the BBQ lunch overlooking the mountain was incredible. Not to mention, Shawn is an excellent photographer and was more than happy to take photos for us! This tour beats a crowded bus tour any day of the week, so don’t hesitate!

      Sugo-san (Shawn) gave the best tour of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area that one could ask for. He was very commutative on the logistics, stopped whenever we needed to for bathroom or snacks, and made sure the trip had plenty of personal touches. We never felt rushed and by the end of the trip, I feel like I made a new friend! Also...the food he made was so above and beyond. Book now, stop thinking about it!

      We had an incredible time on our tour with Shawn! He was very thoughtful about checking in with us about if we needed bathroom breaks and snacks throughout the day. He asked if there was anything we were interested in seeing and since it was our first time in Japan we deferred to whatever he had in mind for the tour, but it was great to know he was willing to customize the experience even more if he could accommodate it. It was really awesome getting to see such beautiful views of Mt. Fuji without the crowds. The lunch he prepared for us by the lake was delicious and the perfect meal to have with the weather cooling down. He was conscious of dietary restrictions and was prepared to make the vegetarian option separately from the meat if we needed, which we didn't, so he put them together and it was fantastic. You can tell how much love he put into the meal. Shawn was also a great photographer during the tour and made sure to take photos of us at every stop. He offered interesting information about every place we went and we had an awesome time talking about our favorite movies on the drive back. Shawn was a wonderful guide and created a one-of-a-kind experience that you won't find anywhere else. Book this tour immediately!

      We had a wonderful day with Shawn exploring a beautiful scenery around Mt Fuji. He brought us to places where most tourists don’t go and we could enjoy scenery without hundred people roaming around. Shawn is very personable and we felt like we were visiting a friend for a day. We knew that lunch was a part of the tour but we were not expecting that Shawn would actually cook it for us while we were exploring camp site and nearby lake. At the end of the tour Shawn gave us great recommendation for dinner and made reservation for us.

      This tour was one of the best days I had in my 6 week Japan holiday. Shawn is such a lovely guy, very knowledgable about the area, and he really made this day unforgettable. We were very lucky with the weather, so the views were amazing. He personalizes the tour to your liking and asks what sights you would like to visit and where you would like to go. The spot for his bbq is unreal and I've would've never found this on my own! Definitely one of the best days ever and I can only highly recommend you to book a day with Shawn!       Shawn offers a personalized flexible tour with some off the tourist path venues around Fuji. He made a very tasty Japanese BBQ on the shores of the small lake by the Mt. Breathtaking view and delicious.meal! Well worth every yen!

      It was a memorable experience that Shawn has brought to us! We went to multiple amazing attractions that are often only know to locals and they are simply spectacular. Lake Motosu was definitely the highlight of the day. We were very lucky to have went on a sunny day, which made it possible to take some beautiful photos. Besides that, Shawn also brought us to a waterfall and took us on a secluded forest walk which you can see just how the beds of volcanic rocks were form 300 years ago during the volcanic eruption. And the trail also features an natural cave that has very cool air blowing out, which was super pleasant for the hot summer day. In addition to all the sceneries, Shawn also showcased his extraordinary culinary skills to us. The Japanese BBQ lunch was super delicious and all were cooked and seasoned to perfection. And the Vegan option also tastes incredible too! All in all, this tour is truly a gem. Shawn is not only a great tour guide, but also a great cook, a great photographer, and a great friend. He's very flexible to our schedule and prepared everything to accommodate our needs. If you're looking for a tour of Mt. Fuji and don't want to be crowded with other tourists, and you want to experience how a Japanese local travels to Mt. Fuji, Shawn's tour is definitely what you're looking for!

      Best day we had while in Japan. Shawn was awesome, relaxed and easy to talk to. He was open to amending the tour to better suit our interests and he did so just by listening to us talk about things we liked and had done in the past. The meal he prepared at the lake was delicious and more than enough to fill you up. We lucked out with perfect weather and a beautiful view of the mountain. The waterfall he took us to was beautiful as well but then he took us to a path in the forest which was spectacularly peaceful. Shawn was also able to give us recommendations for other things to do, see, and eat while in Tokyo. I just wish we had done this earlier in our trip. One thing to note is that drinks weren't supplied but there are vending machines at the lake. He was also willing to stop along the way to pick up things we might need.
