Mr. Shi (?) aka Ben was our guide on 4/25/2024. He did a fantastic job organizing the trip and keeping us on schedule. On the bus trip he gave us many interesting facts about Japanese history and details about the places we visited. We got extremely lucky that it was a beautiful, sunny day and Mt. Fuji was in perfect view. Also - Ben’s English and Chinese proficiency were both exceptional.

Excellent trip
Dariusz_K, Apr 2024
The trip was a spectacular experience. The places chosen for viewing were amazing. We were lucky with the weather, so we could have enjoyed the breathtaking views over the Mount Fuji. Our guide George made sure we had enough time everywhere, gave us very interesting information about all the spots, adjusted the schedule to the weather, so that we could have had the best experience. He was also a lot of fun. I can definitely recommend Gorge and the whole bus trip.
Beautiful tour nice guide Gorchi

Seeing mt Fuji and the beautiful nature surrounding and a committed tour guide Gorchi speaking many languages
Great tour, but don't go on a busy day
Zahra_S, Apr 2024
We had both good and bad luck on our tour date. The good luck was that the sky was clear and we got absolutely fantastic views of Mt. Fuji. Chureito Pagoda was so beautiful, and it was really nice to be driven to different sites around Lake Kawaguchi, which we probably wouldn't have the chance to do otherwise. Our bad luck is that we went on a Saturday during cherry blossom season, so traffic was absolutely terrible since so many people were making the trip there that day. We were not able to go on the deck above Chureito Pagoda because the wait was 2 hours. Our time at some of the other stops was also cut short and we got back to Shinjuku quite a bit later than originally anticipated, but none of this was the tour company's fault. The bus driver was an absolute legend at parking the bus backwards in small parking lots, that alone was super impressive. I would recommend this tour, but not on a day that is likely to be busy.
Great guide, perfect weather, couldn’t ask for more!

Terrible experience with George
Xin_L, Apr 2024
I had a terrible experience with the tour guid named George. In one stop he told us to get back at 2:20, but everything was crowded and I got back at 2:26, the bus was gone. I tried to message or call the tour operator, but the call didn't go through. Luckily my friend who was assigned to the other bus told his tour guide, that I was left alone at the parking lot, then another bus picked me up. George not only failed to take his responsibility to ensure everyone on board, later on he also lied that he waited for me for more than 15 minutes, which is a shameless lie. I have phone calls and text messages as proof. He left me more than 100km away from Tokyo, I had no way to get back if the lady on the other bus didn't pick me up. Strictly speaking I shouldn't be late, but he wasn't on time at earlier stops, and said that the bus driver could wait 10 minutes. In general I should give only one star, the extra two star is for beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and the helpful lady on the other bus who picked me up.
lake trip with george

Great tour to lake well organized, thanks to our special guide George: very precise and accurate in the descriptions. He made the trip valuable even with bad weather.
A Lovely time

Absolutely beautiful. Do yourself a favor and order the steak for lunch!!! Yum. The village at the end stole my heart. Lots of cherry blossoms, souvenirs, and spots for photos.
Mount Fuji's magical day
Carole_D, Apr 2024
What can I say? all went perfectly ok thanks to a wonderful host. From the start, you get shown a list of names and there you can see which bus you are allocated to and what seat number you have. On board our tour guide gave us multiple stories and anecdotes along the way. The scenery on the way to the mountains is beautiful. We had 4 stops in all and each stop we had a full hour to explore and longer at the Pagoda. The lunch was fantastic, I had the noodles but the people who had the beef loved it to. There was plenty of time to explore, to go to the shops and get to know other solo travellers. The queue to the Pagoda view spot takes a bit of time but it is well managed at the top. I would recommend checking the weather forecast before booking. We had a beautiful day and were lucky with the cherry blossoms. The thatched houses village is nice and you get to discover a lot of craft there. I can't thank enough our guide who was called: Micchan_haga. would highly recommend. worth every penny.
Excellent when weather is good.
Mike_S, Apr 2024
We got super lucky because the weather cooperated and we were able to have full visibility of Mount Fuji on a sunny day. Of course, prior to booking it is important to check the weather to ensure expectations. The tour itself was wonderful and we were allotted sufficient time to explore all the stops to take photos, shop, and eat. Our tour guy was great despite English not being her 1st language and our driver gave us a smooth drive. Highly recommend when weather is on your side. Tips: comfy shoes, set timer for return to bus time, have cash/ yen,
A breath of fresh air with stunning scenery
Sonya_R, Apr 2024
A beautiful day out into the Japanese countryside, and a breath of fresh air after a week surrounded by Tokyo skyscrapers. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful sunny day after a day of rain. The views of Mount Fuji were spectacular, and we loved visiting the old village. Lunch was delicious, and the walk up to the shrine, surrounded by cherry blossoms, looking out to Mount Fuji was the perfect end to the day. We are so glad we booked this day trip.
Good tour
Ayako_G, Apr 2024
Very nice experience. Guide was pleasant. Highlight was the thatched roof village. Would have liked to spend more time there. The pagoda visit was difficult for me to climb up. Unfortunately Mt Fuji wasn’t visible due to clouds. Lunch was tasty.
A worthwhile day to and from Mt Fuji.

Mt Fuji seen from different viewpoints. The delicious lavender/cherry blossom soft ice cream, the rows of cherry blossom trees, the kind and accommodating guide and the safe driver.

Tour guide and driver are good. She is friendly and kind. She knows the places very well and make a joke for us to laugh.
Take this tour!
Margaret_L, Apr 2024
Beautiful day visiting Mt. Fuji and getting time to explore the town a bit. Was able to relax and not worry about taking the train, etc. Bus was comfortable and made enough stops for additional needed comfort!
A day to meet the Mont Fuji
Ndiaye_L, Apr 2024
What a day ! We had a beautiful weather so we could see the Mont Fuji from every spot . It was beautiful. But I think 2 spots from the 4 was necessary. I recommend this day tour
Mt. Fuji - One in lifetime must see
Luong_T, Apr 2024
Beautiful sight seeing locations. We’re able to see Mt. Fuji at all locations on a clear day with the cherry blossoms. We had a wonderful trip. The tour lady Yuu Naka and driver were very nice and patiently guided us through the trip.
A LONG and EXHAUSTING trip
Wenlei_H, Apr 2024
It was a long exhausting trip, about 12 hrs due to traffic. The line for pagoda was 80 mins long but we only had an hour scheduled there thus could not wait in line to get the best shot. However, we had to come back to the area to pick up somebody from bus #2 (we are bus #4) which was another 30 mins delay. We skipped Orshi park. The tour guide Nakao was nice and professional but hard to understand. In general, it is not worth the whole day. We have been using viator tours for many years and found out in recent years, the quality of the tours has been significantly decreased which is disappointing.
excellent and relaxing tour
Sharolyn_B, Apr 2024
Our tour guide, Aki, was fantastic - helpful and friendly. I wanted to eat at a certain restaurant at the lake, and he even called ahead to try to get me a reservation. It was cloudy the day we went, so we only saw a little of Mt. Fuji until the last stop, when the sky cleared up a bit, but the places were so interesting and beautiful on their own that we didn't mind so much. If you're up for a brisk walk at the lake, follow Google maps and walk along the lakeside to Momiji-tei for a very delicious bowl of Hoto (noodle soup) with the best shrimp tempura we had our whole trip!
