Meeting Instructions: The tour departs from the dispatch booth at the Royal Terminal. Please, be advised that guests on ships anchoring in Grand Cayman must take a small boat called a tender to shore. It is very important that you are in line early for the tenders to shore if you want to make it to the tour before it departs. It can take approximately 60 minutes to wait for tenders and get ashore. Once a guest arrives at the Port Terminal and exits through security, they should continue walking straight, and they will see a tent with a white Canopy, hanging above a sign with the word “CAYTOURS” There is where our Dispatch team will be. Guests, we are going to receive from the North and South Terminal, must remain in the same place, they will be met by CayTours personnel holding a sign with the word “CAYTOURS” for easy identification. We pick up from all hotels/accommodations in Seven Mile Beach. The cost of the tour includes round trip transfers to and from the caves and any accommodation in George Town or Seven Mile Beach Areas only. Pick up from other areas in Cayman available at extra cost. Please contact us to get quote for pick up from other areas in Grand Cayman

Unforgettable experience with the best tour guide A+

Jaden our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, charismatic & funny. We had a small group so felt like a vip tour. Seeing the caves with our own eyes was magical. An added bonus was seeing all the bats, such a cool exeperience. The tour lasted 1.5 hrs & we had transportation from our hotel & back via CAYTOURS. Highly recommend this experience. And ask for Jaden!

The whole trip was cool & informational. It wasn’t as hot as I thought it was going to be but we did go to the 9 am tour. Lots of different plants & trees to look at too. Jayden was an awesome guide & took our pictures for us.

The picture you have really doesn’t do it. I assume there would be water with caves and more than we got. With almost an hour hour and a half a ride out there.

Wish there were Crystals

The tour was informative of the area. I was expecting crystals in the caves, not so much. It was more of a walking tour of discovered underground pocket caverns, with one in the side of a rock formation. That was underwhelming. It is very hot, not cool like you'd think in the caves. Caves trip

Hotel pickup/drop off for us and about a ~40minute ride the caves. They have bug spray to put on at the entrance since there are mosquitos. We walked around the caves for about 1 hour and 15 min. There are 3 of them you go in an out in. They were interesting to see, but we wouldn't do it again

Very Beautiful Caverns

Caverns are beautiful. There were 3 distinct locations that the tour walk went. The first being the most spectacular in my opinion, but all were interesting. Well organized, it was pouring down rain the day we went and the tour had rain ponchos for all, which was a nice add. The drive from Georgetown is lengthy so plan for this. Included a funny short stop at an snack bar/momentos shop within the caverns park, which was odd because there really wasn't time to order food to be prepared. Maybe the rain made this stop shorter than usual? I did come away with a tick, which the tour did not warn us of to do a body check so this was a surprise. Glad we took the day to do this, but do prepare for the location of the caverns and the drive to and from.

Avoid this tour company at all costs!

I booked this cave tour for our family of fourteen, ages 4-60. I have to preface this review with we have booked MANY tours through Trip Advisor and Viator over the years and all have been FABULOUS until THIS ONE!!!!!!! Our family was on a cruise on the Disney Fantasy for a week and one of our stops was in Grand Cayman so I thought it would be fun to take the little ones on a cave tour. Our original tour was scheduled for 1pm but tour company asked if we could come early. Disney ship send tenders to island and tour company said to give yourself an hour to get to island. We gave ourselves over an hour. Long story short, we got to stand at 12:15 to a screaming scene at tour desk, with one person working there, apparently they overbooked a tour to the beach and everyone was so upset and yelling. I couldn't even get to agent due to the upset group. I finally got to her and she told me that driver had left and that she called my name. Long story short, they charged me for this tour $1.341.58!!!!!! I received an email that I would get 40% back for my inconvenience!!!! Whaaat? Needless to say, we will be disputing this charge with our credit card company.

Good if you have never been in caves before

We have been to large caves so these caves seemed small. However, seeing the baby bats hanging from the ceiling was cool.

The crystal caves were great! We had to dock at a different port due to bad weather, so the company had to pick us up at a different spot, which made for some confusion. We had to call them 4-5 times and they were 30 minutes late to grab us. They had no signs, so it was difficult to locate them. Other than that, the bus was really nice.

We were on a cruise and booked Crystal Caves through Viator. Due to weather conditions our cruise ship did not stop in Grand Cayman. The ship captain notified us only a few hours before expected docking time. With limited options I tried to email a cancellation, which I was not sure even left the ship. When we returned to home port two days later, Viator had already refunded our charges without any hassle. I consider that excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to use them again at another port.

All promises kept, and enjoyed while on Celebrity Beyond

The caves and operation of the tour in general was good. Everything promised was delivered, and the sluice box was fun to try while we waited for the tour to start. (If you bring kids--they will love this) A lot of people arrived just before start time, and we filled all the vehicles they had, which made for larger tour groups, about three groups of 15 at the same time--going into different caves for each group. The caves are great, if you want to see caves with some harmless bats, and underground streams, etc, this is ideal and easy walking. The tour photos don't do it justice, it's quite impressive with comfortable walking paths and lighting. One downer: From my perspective, the tour guide was not interested in sharing a lot of geological information, or educating. He spent more time telling corny jokes, personal anecdotes and asking us how old we thought something was, or why this or that. Most of the questions were set ups for more jokes at our expense, which got a giggle or two... but for me, I really wanted to learn, not be entertained with repeat efforts of turning off the lights and using his flashlight to scare the girls. We had to wait a few times while the other groups exited some of the caves, which was ok, but it caused us to finish later and there was no time afterward, as we had to catch our rides back. Again the caves, natural setting and walking trails are all interesting, and photos came out great on mobile devices. I just felt the guide was a distraction, and everyone had to endure his bemoaning personal struggles of doing multiple tours per day, hearing how his real job was in graphic design, and other things that had nothing to do with what we paid to see. So, 4 stars instead of 5 for that, but maybe we caught them on a bad day. For those coming from the cruise ships, it was easy to find the pickup tent in the port on Grand Cayman, it's right in the middle of the entire complex, just look for their sign. The bus ride over was fine, and they reliably picked us up and returned us to the port. They asked for the printed tour booking but took a photo from my phone as proof I had paid. They had my name on a list already so that seemed a bit odd to me, like... you know my name, I'm on the list and standing in front of you, why are you asking for my voucher? Maybe it's just a procedure thing but I recommend taking a photo of your voucher in case your (email) internet isn't working well in port. Enjoy the caves!

A great experience

The Crystal Caves Tour is a great experience! Oscar was our guide and he was memorable to say the least. He made the experience very enjoyable and was incredibly knowledgeable! DO NOT skip the bug spray, they offer it for a reason. Do wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera! A wonderful experience for sure!

The tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. However the pick up bus was late and caused us to wait an hour for the next cave tour. Be advised the tour itself is 90 minutes. The bus ride was close to an hour and made a few stops along the way. This was not well explained. The site also says no wait and skip crowds. That was not the case so it’s not accurate. It should be revised so people with young children know what to expect.
