Overview

Experience the famous Stingray City and snorkel at the Barrier Reef and Coral Gardens during this excursion on Grand Cayman. Board a cabin cruiser to meet your friendly captain and crew, then head out to the sandbar at Stingray City. Jump in to the shallow water and interact with the gentle creatures, even feeding them by hand as they swim slowly around you. You must check in at least 45 minutes before the start of the tour.
From cruise terminals, walk LEFT for 2-8 minutes depending on which terminal your ship tenders to, until you see the Waterfront Centre building, a 2-story yellow building with a blue roof. We are on the ground floor near the south end of the building. For check-ins at the Cayman Falls office, it is opposite the Westin Hotel on Seven Mile Beach.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.

We chose this excursion based on the 2 snorkeling reefs. Stingray City was a bonus! This was one of the best excursions we've ever been on! Our ship was unable to dock at the usual site, but Capt. Marvin's crew was all over it. They texted us to let us know they would be picking us up at the alternate site. They knew more about our docking site than the ship's crew did! The snorkeling sites were awesome. I included a couple pictures, but I took several. I'm an amateur with a compact digital camera, but I enjoy attempting to capture the beautiful fish. We saw numerous fish, and some you don't often see. To be honest, we weren't all that excited about going to Stingray City. However, the crew made it a very exciting stop for us. They educated us about the Stingrays, and they assisted us in holding and feeding them. It was pretty cool! The crew and captain were excellent! We were quite confident that we were in good hands. Unlike some of the excursions offered by the cruise line, this was a snorkelers dream! In the past, we've been afraid to book a non cruise ship excursion. No worries with this outfit. They will get you back to the ship on time! I, we, highly recommend this trip.

The crew was amazing! The 3 stops were all amazing small group well worth it you won't regret it!! The captain was great the offered water helped everyone in and out of the boat. Got epic pictures with the sting rays abd was able to feed them . I would definitely recommend this charter service from beginning to end

DO NOT BOOK WITH VIATOR!

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH VIATOR! They do not communicate with the tour company. They told me I would be picked up at our hotel. When I called the tour company they told me they do not pick up at my hotel. It cost me another $100 to get a ride to the company!

Perfect Snorkel Day

We had a great time on our Snorkel tour. The meeting place was easy to find and the bus ride was quick. It was a very nice boat and the captain and crew were great. This excursion was much less crowded and was the perfect day exploring. I would highly recommend this tour. We visited Stingray City, Barrier Reef, and Coral Gardens.

Very easy walk from the cruise ships. It was super windy the day we went out, but the snorkeling was still very clear. Captain Marvin's boats are so much nicer than the other boats we saw at Stingray City. The staff was so nice and helpful. It was a wonderful day.

Well worth the experience. Capt. Dave and crew were very accommodating, offering help to all to ensure a rewarding experience. You get real close to stingrays. Beautiful , graceful creatures. The snorkel stops were incredible. The usual reef fish withe a few special guests.

We did tour #4 with the two snorkeling stops and loved the entire experience! Holding and feeding the stingrays was a highlight of our trip. We did a lot of snorkeling while we were on Grand Cayman but the two snorkeling stops we did in this tour were definitely the best snorkeling on the island!

Stingray City - A must do in Grand Cayman

They put on a perfectly acceptable tour. Nothing exceptional, but nothing bad either. Quite a lot of money even for the kids, and it can feel a little hurried at the other two stops, but a long time at Stingray City as all guests hold the rays, etc.. However, the boat was clean and the team were good.

We were with the Princess Caribbean Cruise. This was an amazing excursion we took that wasn't affiliated with the cruise. Captain Marvin's Watersports was extremely professional and confident, making this experience so enjoyable and my favorite on our cruise. The location is a stone throw from the cruise port across the street. Here we registered and got on an airconditioned bus that took us to the north part of the island where we boarded a very nice and clean ship with about 15-20 other people. The captain set sail and took us to our first snorkelling stop and then on to Stingray City. Words cannot describe this place and if there is one thing you need to do in the Cayman Islands it is this. The sand bar is about waist deep on an adult and water color and sand that literally makes you feel like you are swimming in an Instagram filter. Hundreds of stingrays everywhere and the captain will let you hold one, touch one, and even kiss one if you so dare! I had children ages 9 and 13 and they were not scared to participate. The crew also gave anyone that wanted a cut up piece of squid and you could hold it out and have the stingrays come up and take it right out of your hand! Core memories made. On the way home we stopped at another reaf that was much shallower, but a different experience than the first. All very safe and fun. They do provide snorkels and masks and fins if you don't have your own, but take note the snorkels they have are old school without the check valve so if you have never experienced blowing salt water out of a snorkel, best to bring your own. All masks were cleaned and sanitized prior and after use too. Seriously can't say enough good things about this excursion. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic adventure! The abundance of tropical fish and coral was excellent. Highlight of this trip for me was spotting two sea turtles while snorkelling. Stingray city was very crowded, I would say that is the only negative. I first visited in 2002 and it was not over run with tourists like it is now. Our crew Rollie, Jimbo and Pollo we excellent and took great care of the guests, it was evident they truly love their job and take pride in the boat and customer experience.

We had so much fun snorkeling and seeing the sting rays. It was an unreal experience. The crew were all very nice. The transportation from and back to our hotel was the best! We didn't have a car on the island, so this was helpful. The only confusing thing was it said groups of 15 on Viator, so I assumed we'd only be with 15 people but it was a lot more.
