What a fantastic day filled with so much fun and adventure. Our lovely tour guide Leo was full of so much positive energy. As a tour guide Leo was approachable, easy to contact and messaged us via whatsapp prior to the day with details. As the journey from Hanoi to Ninh Binh is 2 hours Leo gave us ample opportunity to take in the surroundings (or sleep). He also provided some good information on Vietnamese culture. We started off visiting Mua mountain where we climbed 500 steps. Leo was on hand to guide us all and made sure everyone got to the top and came back down safely. I’d definitely recommend this tour as the early start not only ensured we avoided the heat but there were barely any tourists when we first arrived which made the climb much more enjoyable. Next up was the Tam Coc boat tour on the Ngo Dong river. It was so relaxing so much so I almost fell asleep. There were lots of opportunities to take pictures and videos of the surrounding landscape. This was followed up by a delicious Vietnamese lunch. I was especially impressed that they were able to cater for vegetarians. We then proceed with a 2-hour Ninh Binh Countryside Vespa/ Jeep tour. This was honestly SO much fun! It really helped that we had a group of 9 like minded,fun and go with the flow travellers. Leo made this enjoyable. We stopped momentarily to take pictures in the jeep and he even allowed us to take pictures behind the wheel in the jeep and the vespa. Leo was so kind that we bought us a round of drinks after the 2 hour ride. Take a good camera as the landscape is stunning which you will certainly want to capture. Thanks so much Leo. We are so glad we booked this tour and we had you on the day.

An amazing full day in Ninh Binh!

We had an incredible tour with Hai! The entire experience was really well organised. They pick you up from your hotel in a nice mini van and take you to the beautiful sights in Ninh Binh. They provided water for the hikes, umbrellas and hats to shield us from the sun—they were so attentive. Hai gave us explanations about each destination we visited, making the trip informative and really fun. We definitely recommend!

Hai the tour guide was as good as anyone could be! He brought great energy, care, dedication, and love for what he did. This made for a wonderful experience for the entire group! If you are fast, you'll get to climb both mountains for great views! The boat ride was unique and you go through a tunnel twice. The jeep ride was the cherry on top because it was so much fun. You also will see a temple which is high up and a temple that goes through caves (which you will hike inside)!

Our tour guide Diego definitely made the whole trip fun and exciting. He was very friendly, approachable and attentive to our needs. The experience was physically taxing and the weather was very hot but it was worth it. The trip was very smooth and convenient. Me and my friends had a really good time. New core memory, for sure.

Our Guide Han and his driver for the day were both fantastic. On time, courteous and very informative at every turn. As a single full day (12hrs) trip from Hanoi this is the one for you! We chose the Scooter option for the final leg of the day which was a great adventure in and around the back roads, lanes and rice fields of Ninh Binh. Highly recommended. Lunch was superb and plentiful. Thanks Han for a great day and your wonderful care and attention of a fellow tour member when she most needed it.

Super fun tour

This was a great trip. Our guide Leo was very attentive and personable. We enjoyed listening to his commentary throughout the tour. He made it fun. Even though it was a full day tour, it went quick. The ride to Ninh Binh was in a limousine and super comfortable. The included lunch was plentiful and delicious. Set in an authentic garden with water views. Which was very relaxing and enjoyable after a morning hike. The boat and jeep tours were fun and Leo took a lot of pictures while we were enjoying it! Excellent tour with an excellent guide!

Phenomenal 1 day Ninh Binh tour

This was an amazing tour all round, I have basically no complaints. Our guide, Chris, was witty, intelligent, and super helpful - we learned so much about Vietnam's history through him. I really appreciated this tour starts early so we skip most of the crazy morning traffic, and jump straight into activities when we arrived. One thing I'll say is that close toed shoes with grip would be a good idea, since you might climb some slippery steps or do a light hike. Highly recommend and would 100% book with these guys again.

Spectacular Views BUT Not Fun in Summer

The tour delivered on its promise: early start to get ahead of the crowd! The van was comfortable. Our guide Chris is knowledgeable and funny. The sceneries are truly beautiful and awe-inspiring. However, it was so hot on the day that we went. The river boat ride took place at high noon with temp probably at 34 degree Celsius (93F) for about 45 min round trip! All the boat men have their own umbrellas but the guests were left to bake under the sun! The jeep ride that followed was another harrowing stretch of time under the scorching sun. The tour would have been more enjoyable when it’s cooler. Don’t do it during summer. Separately, I also think the tour should clearly indicate the fitness level required to join the activities. We were made to climb a steep 500- uneven steps of limestone rocks to reach the top of the hill. I blacked out at mid-point due to exhaustion and probably lack of oxygen. At another point, going up a cave requires another 100 steps and then squatting and crawling into the opening. Tourists need prior info re these to self-assess fitness capacity. Lunch at the home-stay was mediocre, one of the least delectable meals we’ve had in 5 days. Overall, I still rated it a 4 bec the views are really spectacular.

This was a great tour with a wonderful guide. There were so many interesting things to see. The scooter tour was amazing and the guide made sure we were comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this tour. You will have enough time to see everything to see.

Such a beautiful tour! Chris is so kind and funny and really made the day enjoyable. The stairs were hard — but the view is worth it! The jeep is really fun but I would do the Vespas too.
