What To Expect

Start with pickup at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel between 8am and 8:30am (exact departure time depends on your location), then leave the city for the Cu Chi district, a 90-minute drive.

Upon arrival at the Cu Chi tunnels, you’ll watch a documentary video to learn about their history, and get an overview of the tunnel layout. Follow a guide into the forest to learn about the equipment and weapons that made life in the tunnels possible, from Hoang Cam smokeless stoves to booby traps and tanks. Descend into the tunnels to experience the conditions to Viet Cong soldiers lived in, sometimes for many days at a time. Crawl through narrow passageways that would have been entirely dark during much of the war, when 75 miles (121 km) were in active use by the Viet Cong.

After you emerge from the Cu Chi tunnels, you’ll have a light snack of boiled tapioca and tea (included in the tour), then begin the return trip to Ho Chi Minh City. This 6-hour tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
